I watched that game while stationed in Alaska. I started to turn it off at halftime. Then I thought to myself, I watch the wins, I'll watch the loss. And then, the miracle happened. It WAS GOOD!

I was watching that game at home on tv by myself. Of course when the Vols went down big I was depressed but kept watching. By the time Tennessee got within a td I was so excited I couldn’t contain myself. I called my friend who lived around the corner (he was a Michigan fan and they hate Notre Dame too) and asked if he was watching and he said yeah, come over and watch the end. When the game winning field goal was blocked most everybody was yelling and jumping up and down and a friend of mine was sitting in a recliner with his arms folded. He always wore Memphis stuff so I thought he was a Memphis fan. I motioned for him to give me a high five and he just sat there with his arms folded. I looked at the Michigan fan whose house we were all in with a confused look and he said Charlie is a Notre Dame fan. I laughed and laughed.
