I'm gonna get you all riled up with my firm belief. This game against UCLA saturday is really going to say a lot about this football team, If we put up big numbers, then my confidence level is highly raised going into next week. Now, Tennessee must not look to Florida until Sunday, and well Florida, they've been overlooking us since CLK's comments in the off season. I firmly believe that If Tennessee thumps UCLA this weekend and then gets to work immediately on Sunday, maybe with a light walkthrough, and keep the focus all week long on Florida, I mean do whatever it takes to have Gator Hate on their minds, and when the ref signals the start of the game in the Swamp and myself and all the other Tennessee fans that will be there rise to our feet together in our section, The Vols come out early and make a statement, hit Florida right in the mouth and do not let up for 60 minutes of football, If Tennessee hits UF in the mouth from the get go and say hey we are here and you picked a bad day to play us, the Vols will have the upper hand. Another key is to run the ball, control the clock, catch the defense off guard and go over the top with a few passes after the sensational running game opens things up. Tennessee needs to be possessed, a team on a mission, and CLK and his staff needs to go in there with nothing but pure hatred on their minds, a take no prisoner attitude. If we have to get a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, then do it by all means, rattle the Gators cage, let them know that Tennessee is no pushover. That is it for now, enjoy the beat down that Tennessee is going to put on UCLA, because I sure will sitting in Neyland as always.

I cannot agree. Beating a bad PAC10 team will tell you nothing about your odds versus a top flight SEC team.

You really aren't going to know much until the Gainesville game.

I didn't mean know everything, I'm just talking about performance against an actual not WKU team.

On the contrary, since those comments, I believe the UT program has the Gators' full attention.

At least we are not playing another cupcake.

I like your excitement. I do think the game will go well for recruiting the WC and we will beat UCLA fairly easy but I do not think this will be a good measuring stick for our progress. We will surely know against FL.

If Tennessee gives Florida a good, competitive game, or perhaps even plays to win instead of not to lose, I will call it an improvement.

In some of the UT/UF games in the past years, it seemed to me like UT was playing to protect a 7 point deficit.

Guys as much as a victory in the swamp would please me like nothing else, logic will tell you that we are not going to win. Florida is insanely deep at every position on the field. Their team is stock full of highly recruited, highly sought after elite talent. They have a senior quarterback who is an incredible athlete, incredible leader, and an incredible competitor. They are as well coached as any team in the country. We are playing them in Gainesville in front of one of the rowdiest football crowds in the country. Plus they will be gunning for us in light of all the off season drama with Kiffin. Tell me, what weaknesses can we exploit? What position can we create mismatches? There ARE none folks.

Now, do I belive that Kiffin will have our team as ready as we possibly can be for this game? Absolutely!! Do I think it will be enough to win? No way in hell. We lose this game and we lose big.

We're going to have to hit UCLA in the mouth to beat UCLA. They're just as improved as we are. I'm tired of people penciling in a W against UCLA. After one good game against WKU, the fans are acting like we are entitled to a W against a qualified and good UCLA team. It seems like most of y'all have forgotten last year when we were EMBARRASSED on national television by UCLA. I think that we should be looking no further than kickoff on Saturday and that we should live in every moment of that game.

If we win big, that's awesome. ONLY THEN should we be talking about how big it would be to beat Florida.

If we barely win, that's just as awesome. We got our revenge. I'm not looking forward to all the "After this weekend, I'm worried about the UF game" if it's a ten point or less victory.

I'm not going into what could happen if we lose, because I don't want us to or think we will, but some of y'all are getting ridiculous.

I would think that anyone who REALLY wants revenge on UCLA would learn how to put week 3 out of their heads long enough to really enjoy and revel in this game on Saturday. This is the most important game at the moment, so let's get into Saturday, not NEXT Saturday.

Tennessee better come out ready to hit someone in the mouth in Gainesville. Because certainly UF will be hitting Tennessee in the mouth. UF has been one of the most physical teams in the SEC since Urban arrived. Maybe both teams will play at a high level and we can have a repeat of the great 1999 game.

To me, it's just nice to be excited about UT football again and to be looking forward to a Saturday game instead of dreading it like I have the past 8 years.

I disagree - IMO, it can tell you a great deal.

If you barely beat a bad PAC10 team, or heaven forbid - you lose, you don't stand much of a chance against a good SEC team. If you take said bad PAC10 team to the woodshed, at least you start out knowing you at least belong on the field against Florida and Bama.

Stepping up the competition over last week will be a good test for how these Vols really measure. Example, if the O-line can blast open the same holes this week as it did last week, as a Gator fan, wouldn't you be more concerned than if they can't do anything and look like crap against UCLA?

, Yeah really, Florida's playing Troy, bunch of babies, ain't got the grapefruits to play USC like they were asked to, shoot, Tennessee would play USC.

While their OOC schedule is atrocious, I never saw a link or source to show that they were asked to play USC. Perhaps you will do it now?

there is always the possibility Tebow goes down just like Bradford did. If that were to happen the whole complex of the game changes. And favors us big time. now that being said tebow hasnt been knocked out of many games in his career so dont know what the chances of that happening are.

we took Cal to the woodshed in 06 and still got toasted by UF.

The last few days all I have heard from gator fan is, yeah, it was WKU, you'll know more when you play UCLA.

Now, gator fan is saying UCLA is a bad Pac-10 team, and a win over them won't tell us anything.

What's the excuse if we blow out UCLA and get lucky and squeak one out against Florida? And yes, we will have to get lucky and have some major breaks go our way to win that game.

Every team has a weakness. Ole miss beat them last year. Watch the tape.

And then there's those that just need a good anti-depressant! :)

It don't matter, if we beat Florida, they will still have an excuse along with CBS, such as oh Tebow wasn't feeling good, or it was the ref's fault, Florida football would stop and quit their season if we beat them.
