They have guards who can shoot the 3 and now are 12-2 in league play. Can the Vols even be competitive? Perhaps in Knoxville, but a first half like we had at Rupp and it will indeed be ugly as A&M can score better that KY.
At this point I'm tempering my expectations and likely the Vols will win one in the tourney and then flame out with a terrible offensive effort and miss free throws to seal the loss in the second game. Hope I'm wrong but at this point who is really picking the Vols to go deep in their bracket?

Vols fan deep in the heart of Aggieland. They are confident they will beat Tennessee. They’re expecting the biggest crowd ever in the history of Reed Arena. It would be wonderful if the defense the Vols played against Alabama showed up Tuesday night. That, and making some more free throws!

Texas A&M lives at the free throw line so Seigler and the rest of this squad will have to be very judicious in the usage of their fouls and Tennessee should have the height advantage inside on Tuesday night.

Aidoo and Mashack need to score in double figures.

TN can beat anyone in the country when they can hit shots. My main concern is how we can score if the three isn’t falling. Barnes has said all yr that he will bench a player who doesn’t take an open shot (Key, Santi, ZZ, Phillips, JJJ).

Barnes knows a lot more than me but as a fan, I’d like to see more dribble-drive possessions and transition games. However, making foul shots is critical w this style of play.

Also, I would limit minutes for Uros and reduce minutes for ON , and go w Aidoo and Awaka. Also Mashack has earned more plying time as is defense is elite and he had a 360 on offense b/t Bama and KY games.

It’s the wildest thing how often we drive to the paint, only to dribble back out and not even look to make a basket; it’s like everyone is afraid to get swatted, which I totally get, but we’ve GOT to create opportunities/attempts…

I’ll always believe this team has a chance to beat anyone bc of defense and who they’ve already beat this year.

I'm not expecting to win, but given we show up against better teams then I'm not going be surprised if we pull it together and take this one.

How true. One pump fake and the defender leaving his feet = possible foul shot opportunity.

Need a bunch of points in transition and a serviceable half court game, A & M has those tall rangey guards like Missouri that move all over the floor, will have match-up problems, defending the back court, lose at A & M and Tennessee falls out of the top 20, despite the injuries, the team is playing worse the deeper we go in the season, playing out of position, silly turnovers, piss poor shooting, terrible spacing on the floor, too much standing and dribbling on the perimeter, not sure why the curtain is going up on this horror show before the season is over, usually we fall apart late in the SEC tourney or second round of the NCAA

ON should not play at all! Been here 4 years and still can't play!

Vols need to go 2-0 this week. Vols are the better team but that doesn’t mean anything lately.

OK Then. A&M By 8 Points. Road wins against evenly matched teams are hard to come by. PLUS; Aggies just bested Mizzou-------On the Road ....

Gonna be a tough game. They need it to cover for their terrible non con performance. They’re playing as good as anyone right now.

I’d give ON minutes so Aidoo or Awaka can get get a breather. We’re out of options. Plus both Aidoo and Awaka are inconsistent.
I agree, but Aidoo is a sophomore, Awaka is a freshman, ON is a fourth year player and still is terrible.

So Uros just had 7 minutes Saturday & game before he had 13 minutes & scored 10 w/3 rebounds. So you’re basically saying you don’t want him to play. IMO these numbers are limited minutes.
