Guys... It's the night before NSD... I'm sure most of you all have been reading this board for 364 days waiting to see what happens....
No matter how we end up tomorrow- I'm proud to be a VFL and have enjoyed and appreciated all y'all's time and thoughts this year....

Lets kick some ass!

When you swing for the fences most of the time you strike out. Kuddo's to CBJ for going after the best with a severe time disadvantage. Keep bringing the heat coach and all these 2nd. Place finish's this year will be wins next year!

No matter the outcome of nsd tommorow there is a strong upside to the Big Orange now. CBJ is on the right track and he and his staff will turn this ship around. All hands on deck for this one fellas it's going to be a great ride.

I was about to post a similar thread. Proud to be a Vol no matter what. I'm sure we won't be 100% satisfied tomorrow, but we will be back soon. Lets all back CBJ 100%

If CBJ isn't the real deal this could be a self imposed death penalty on the program. These next couple of years are crucial.

The true measure is 3 to 4 years from now of how many players are projected as NFL players. All of the prospects think they are heading to the NFL as hopefully 4 to 5 per class will be drafted which will attract evern more talent to Ktown.

I will admit i've been disappointed a few times the last couple of weeks. I will probably be disappointed a couple of times tomorrow. That is every year in recruiting though.

My general overall feeling this year is...with the amount of time CBJ had to work with, he has done an outstanding job of even getting and keeping us in play with some of these big name guys.

No. I do not consider this a moral victory. We still lost these guys, and I don't like it, just like I wouldn't like it any other year.

The fact of the matter is though. If he has a year to work on recruits instead of a couple of months. Next year and years to come ought to be something special. Great work CBJ and Staff. I feel a new breath of life coming into UT football.

The true measure is an SEC championship in 3-4 years and an NC shortly thereafter. Anything less is unacceptable.

It hurts to lose...especially recruits...so many of these kids that we follow for years we can picture in orange....you just want to be able to reach them and shake them and say "don't you know how special Tennessee is...Don't you know???!!!" Even though we have lost a few that we desperately needed and more than that...wanted...I can't help but shake the feeling of pride and momentum heading into the future with this program. CBJ and staff are not ganna win every game or recruit or reach every goal. At least not right now. But, I like our odds. I like this staff. And I am going to believe that Tennessee will, once again..rise to the top! Excited to add some to the family tomorrow! VFL!

Name a time a team won the SEC and did not have NFL ready players?

I'm not arguing you're point at all. I made a statement regarding resonable expectations for this staff. I could care less if our players go pro or not. Our goal is to win championships at UT and if they make it to the next level, then so be it. Travis Stephens didnt make it in the NFL...Wouldnt you give your right arm to have a RB like him now?

I've never said this before but I'm an assistant high school coach here in southeastern Ohio and I have met CBJ before when he was at UC he was recruiting one of my players who signed eventually signed with UC a couple years back.
I will tell you this he is a very personably guy and has demeaner of a winner/motivator and even thought I was full gruden like most. I truely believe he will do his damnedest to get us back at the top. He is a hard recruiter and this years class might not pan out the way we want giving his time to establish relationships with these student athletes. I do believe next year if he pulls a signature win we will pull at least top 10 class.
