Gone are the days when America was distinguished. Were a welfare state, a perfect dichotomy of haves and have nots.
All the while pseudo-intellectuals discuss big bird and Jay-Z, Rome burns.

Welfare Statistics | Statistic Brain
Yepp all 4.1% of the country. Not counting food stamps which does need to be toned back. We are not a welfare state, stop kidding yourself.
We've been a dichotomy of haves and have nots for the better part of a century. That is not new at all.
What has changed is that enough of the have nots are no longer fooled by the trickeration and misdirection of the haves.
This election was, in the end, about the middle class sticking up for itself.

Click on the link. It explains it all pretty good.
"Welfare is the organized public or private social services for the assistance of disadvantaged groups. Aid could include general Welfare payments, health care through Medicaid, food stamps, special payments for pregnant women and young mothers, and federal and state housing benefits. The Welfare system in the United States began in the 1930s, during the Great Depression. Opponents of Welfare argue that it affects work incentives. "
Ok. the above quote is from your link. do you really think only we spend only 131.9 billion on these, minus foodstamps and unemployment. the number they are using for welfare doesnt include those on foodstamps then in the disclaimer says its part of welfare.
Their numbers are from the government. So just depends if you want believe it or not.
