I seem to remember seeing a picture on here in a thread somewhere showing Trevor Lawrence at a UT game, must have been 2016 Florida or so, and possibly one of those gigapixel photos where you Can zoom in on everyone. Anyone know where that photo is, or can post it here?

Knox News did a story on this last January ('19, not '20): Trevor Lawrence's favorite QB is Peyton Manning, but the Tennessee native chose Clemson

From the article:

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence grew up in Fall Branch, Tennessee, in the Tri-Cities region, and he took multiple recruiting visits to Tennessee while Butch Jones was the Vols’ coach.

“Growing up, my favorite quarterback was Peyton Manning,” Lawrence told the Johnson City Press in December. “Now, one of my favorites is Aaron Rodgers, but with Peyton Manning, I liked the way he played, and how smart he was. He knew what was going on all around him and had total control.
“I used to be a Tennessee fan, and I grew up watching him after my family got me going on Tennessee. One thing that I’ve tried to do like him is just wanting to be the guy that knows everything and take control of the offense like he did.”

He definitely was ours to lose. He made the right call for his development going to Clemson at that particular time in Tennessee football history but it hurts every time I think about we could have had him.

There's a great one of him in the locker room, too. Why must we do this to ourselves?

I know we all saw that article not too long ago.. what do Amari Rodgers, Tee Higgins, Trevor Lawrence, and Travis Etienne have in common? They all grew dreaming of being TN Vols.

I have said it once and will say it again. There is a correlation between the fall of Tennessee and the rise of Clemson. Oh, what could have been.
