Weird crowd noise on TV this year?

My Ford F-150 with the eco boost engine has augmented sound through the radio to make it sound like a V8. Maybe Tennessee took a page from Ford’s playbook and has created augmented fan noise.

I’ve been wondering if I’m hearing the “fake crowd noise” that’s always been rumored.

May be they are doing it to squelch the WOO! If so, Thank God.

I may be all alone here, but do the crowds sound strange this year on tv?

I have been hearing an alternating high-low repetitive “electronic beeping” sound on football broadcasts this year when the crowd gets loud. It almost has a light siren sound to it. It is continuous, the same on all my televisions, and I hear it on the tv at work.

Does anyone else have any idea what I’m talking about, or am I losing my mind?

OMG thank you! . I agree 100%. There is some awful “beeping alarm” non stop every game. No one else I’m watching with is able to hear it but I can’t stop. It’s unbearable and driving me ape s crazy. You’re not alone OP.

It’s definitely there on the ESPN stations. I haven’t noticed it on the CBS afternoon game nor on FOX. I need to watch a game on ABC and see if I hear it. Same for SECN, haven’t paid close enough attention to tell if it’s there also.
