Running just a bit is great. Not sure what you do in the gym but cardio is always a good choice.

I have started swimming regularly, we'll see how that goes....get a pool membership pronto one with lanes and not a lot of kids.

Joints make walking too much even hard, so swimming seems my best bet, loving it so far, hardest part is cramps, got to remember to warm up on dry land first so your toes don't screw up......ouch.

Also recommend this guy.

This isn't the actual swim video I got his swim video via Amazon, gives you concise lessons, and is worth starting over to relearn your freestyle....this is just him talking about his system.....good for us older blokes or anyone who has a desire to open swim at some point...

Run, eat, sleep, repeat. I run about 25-35 miles depending on the training week. Started running about 4 months ago and have lost 30+ lbs.

It's a scientific fact that it takes 3500 calories to burn a lb of fat. To lose 1 lb, you have to run a daily deficit of 500 calories for a week.

With that in mind, plan out your meals the night before and count calories (and protein). I've tried all kinds of diets, but this is what matters...when you plan out your meals with this kind of detail (treat it like a household budget), it's easy to come up with a low-calorie diet that is simultaneously satisfying and won't deprive you of gains in the gym (I work out).

A couple other tips...make rules. All snacks between meals should be fruit or vegetables. Don't drink calories. Try to limit carbs unless you're going to work out.

Truth be told, the rule doesn't matter as much as the discipline required to keep the rule matters.

Oh, and one other tip....smaller meals throughout the day will keep your metabolism up....if you eat 1500 calories, but it's in 2 meals, you might end up with a smaller calorie deficit than somebody who ate 1800 calories in 6 meals.

Liposuction. Keep your teeth and no work involved.
