Thanks again for this update, POA. This really is the best thread on this site and I dont even think it's close, imo. :good!:
As far as the Negavols, it really is annoying reading through constant posts bashing coaches, players, recruits, and anything and everything else they find to b!*** about when things aren't going well. I know every fan base has them and they have a right to their opinion like everyone else but for the most part the people posting the negative comments don't fully realize all of the reasons why we are where we are today and everything that goes on behind the scenes to get to where we all want to be, at the top of the SEC. All they see is what happens on the field for three hours on 12 Saturday's every Fall.
If any of you have lived in Alabama for a decent length of time like I did, you know exactly what I mean and this goes for any other state/fan base too, especially in the South. Although it's hard for me to imagine anywhere being worse than bama. There were so many times with me being such a big UT fan growing up down there where a bammer would start talking crap to me about all their (questionable) NC's and Bear Bryant and roll tide blah, blah, blah. It wouldn't take me more than a couple minutes usually to figure out how big of a fan they really were. All I'd have to do is ask them to name more than 5 players other than the QB on bama's team. If they could answer that (which most honestly couldn't) I'd ask something like who's UA's AD or who's their DB's coach or something they should easily know if they were as big of a fan as they claimed to be.
My point is, there are more and more of these kind of "fans" these days on sites like this all over the SEC as well as social media. They watch a game like vs Oregon and then log into VN and start all the negativity (farr Butch, etc). The real UT fans should easily see the situation we're in and as bad as it sucks, know we have to be patient. Especially with this new staff and what they're doing off the field with the player's grades being up, recruiting, and all the other little things it takes to build a championship caliber program.
Anyways, thanks again for doing these, POA. Good luck with the new job and be sure to save all your vacation time for the days/weeks leading up to NSD14
