well since the cfb season is over basically, i figured i'd post this here, cause sine i was sick, my daughter was sick and my wife was out of town, it gave me the opportunity to pay attention to some things i haven't had the opportunity to of late.......

Being sick sucks. being sick while your 6 month old is also sick sucks worse.

dogs don't necessarily have sympathy for you, at least mine didn't.

wives don't necessarily have sympathy for you, at least mine didn't.

it's pretty bad when you take your daughter to the pediatrition, and she spends most of her time attending to you instead of the baby. it's even worse when you have to have a nurse carry your daughter to your car cause you can't.

Daycare doesn't have any sympathy for you, at least mine didn't when they called me an hour after i dropped my daughter off to come pick her up because she was running a fever.

Dinner is not always better the next day.

Nyquil is awesome.

Idiocracy is not a good movie in any way shape or form, niether is Lady in the Water. Shooter and Spiderman 3 though are just what the doctor ordered--mindless entertainment requiring no thought or emotional involvment.

apparently you can only watch so much ESPN before your brain rots.

i found out i really don't care about watching other college bball games if TN is not playing.

upon further review, i do NOT want to be Mr. Mom.

it only took my daughter 4 days to get tired of my act. it took my wife 2 years and a ring.

people that get married in New England in December should be required to get sterilized.

the strongest people in the world are single, working parents that don't go nuts.

i've never been so happy to go to work this past Monday morning.

needless to say it was a good appetizer for the holiday weekend coming where i have all my wife's family coming down and staying for the weekend.

here's to you and yours, Happy Holidays!:salute:

Too funny Jake. Hope all of your bullet items listed get better sooner then later. Great perspective though. And my wife also has no sympathy when I get sick.

I found Idiocracy to be a strong offering, and a fair reflection on where society is headed.

:good!:

I am afraid that I am enough of a football junkie that I watched some lower division playoff games last weekend
upon further review, i do NOT want to be Mr. Mom.
After keeping my kids by myself for a week, I told my wife I could be Mr. Mom only if we had a housekeeper and a cook on staff.

it only took my daughter 4 days to get tired of my act. it took my wife 2 years and a ring.

I honestly don't know how they do it.

And what do you guys actually do when your wives are sick?

Football season? Probably watch football.
Any other time? Run away so you don't get sick as well.

:p

Just kidding (although I wouldn't be surprised if it were close to accurate):birgits_giggle:. Happy Holidays to you too Jake and get better! I was sick once during the holiday season, all my friends and family were having fun while I was in bed with bronchitis! Not fun!
