Skinny: The Vols lost and moved up? Yes. They outplayed Texas A&M, on the road, without four starters and despite committing seven turnovers. Texas A&M was fortunate to win, which sounds ridiculous given how many breaks they received during the game. Put these teams on a neutral field and cut Tennessee’s turnovers in half, and the Vols win by 14. They are every bit as dangerous as we thought they would be, despite suffering another injury to a star defender.

With every preseason goal except an unbeaten season still on the table, Rocky Top will be sky high Saturday to face No. 1 Alabama."

funny how they're saying the same things some of us were saying after the game.

I truly think 14 is being nice too. It should have been worse and considering it was on the road in arguably the biggest stadiums in college football is impressive. Tennessee is playing well and are extremely tough mentally.

It is if your a fan of either team respectively.
I want it to return to games past so bad Tennessee could grow so much with a win or two against Bama ala Ole Miss. If Butch can walk into a room and show kids he knows how to beat Alabama only good things follow.

we were talking about this at my dad's house after the game too. as much as i hated to lose, i was grinning ear to ear. there's no way you look at that team, undermanned as we were, and it got worse during the game, to force that game in to OT....there's no way you look at that team the same you did before....
