When are they coming out? Where will we land? I've seen as far as 14 and some steady at 9

Well we did play bad but we did what a third of the rest of the top couldn't do and that's win, we shouldn't drop no lower than 10 but I wouldn't be surprised to see us drop to 15

In college basketball, if you win, you either stay where you are, or move up. Should be the same concept here, but it probably won't be.

Hmm, moving up to 8th? I don't buy it even after some teams ahead of us lost. CBS is notoriously SEC biased, regardless I would say we drop to 11 or 12

Idk I mean other than bama who else really stood out this week? Everyone struggled at some point so I could see is moving up one spot just on the simple fact that we won

Probably right based on the crazy weekend of atypical football. Any other week and I'd say we slipped down the rankings

We either move up one spot or drop down a couple of spots. Worst I could see us dropping down too is 15.

I don't think we move up but I don't think we drop much if any. Thinking 10 or 11

It's rare you drop even after an ugly win, you may get hopped over, perhaps like a Houston or something but rarely does one actually fall when winning. My prediction is we remain at 9. If we really don't deserve to be there we will get beaten soon enough.

The Battle At Bristol is MUCH more INTER$TING if there is a "Top 10 Team" involved...therefore...Tennessee will be 10 or BETTER (due to LSU & others laying eggs)

You have a very valid point.

I thought we would drop to 15-20 on Thursday night, but after all of the games this weekend it's likely that we stay close to where we are now

I think we stay at nine or fall a spot to 10. Contrary to the mood on this board (fahr Butch, fahr me, fahr everybody), we did score 17 unanswered points and won in OT.

If you play it out on paper, there's not a lot of way we could fall much. Simply too many teams ahead of or close behind us lost their games.

I'm thinking we either stay at #9, or shift one position up/down. So #8 - #10 is my prediction.

p.s. Ole Miss may leapfrog us, even with their loss. Houston probably does, too. And maybe TCU.

The coaches poll should be more friendly to us and keep us either in the top 10 or really close. Coaches know that App State is no pushover and we just had a bad game. They won't overreact. The AP poll, on the other hand, will probably overreact and slide us back to around 15 with UGA ranked ahead of us and Texas and Texas A&M close behind.

No way Ole Miss moves up in front of us unless we somehow fall back and they don't move very much. I see them dropping to 14-15 and us at 10-13. I can only recall one time where I saw a team lose and NOT move back in the rankings - 98 Arkansas after their loss to us.

You're probably right. It happens, usually when a lower-ranked team plays a higher-ranked team close (which fits #4 FSU - #11 Ole Miss), but the way the Rebels squandered the lead could hurt them. So you may be right. I just see the possibility.
