Would there be anyway to get around it? Like maybe using a proxy server or something along those lines.

The proxy might not work. ESPN3 is provided if your ISP pays for it. AT&T pays while some cable companies do not. I doubt any proxy are going to pay for ESPN3.

I would suggest finding a local bar or restaurant to watch the game. If you are in Chattanooga several places have the game. If not, ask local business, I have had some that buy the game after several people showed interest. Have several of your friends call a couple of bars and act interested, they might get the hint and order it.

Blackouts are just a way to scam us out of money. I really don't want to pay for a pay per view the very first week either. Can't get it on 360 either if you're in Tennessee. Almost wish i knew someone with gameplan in Kentucky, lol.

I don't understand, where's the "scam"? UT is footing the bill for production, announcers, crew, cameramen, etc. How is it a "scam" to recoup that cost by selling the game on a Pay Per View basis inside the state of Tennessee?

Really, i thought "video seat" foots the announcers, crew, cameramen , etc. How come they show it on gameplan outside the state if it's exclusively a Tennessee production? That's the only point i was making. I have gameplan, paid my money for it and i still don't get the game. That to me sounds like a scam.

Me and my cousin will be shelling out a bill a piece to attend the Oregon game so to hell with pay-per-view vs. a bum.

The "Videoseat" is the name it's sold under by UT and IMG.

Under the SEC TV contract with ESPN, all PPV games produced by the institutions are made available outside of the school's home state to ESPN for GamePlan and ESPN3.com. The SEC gives the schools exclusive rights to show and sell the game inside their state. It's the SEC's rule, UT and ESPN are just following it.

If you lived in South Carolina, you wouldn't get their PPV game on GamePlan. Ditto for if you lied in Florida, etc.

The games are distributed out of state on Gameplan because there is no way for the schools to sell individual games to cable operators out of state. The cable systems have to set up a seperate channel for each individual PPV game broadcast. the schools aren't going to set up a PPV deal with a small cable operator in Bossier City, LA in hopes one Vol fan will order it. But they can very easily contract with the 47 cable operators in the state to offer one game.

Go to a sports bar....more than likely they will have the game....and as one already suggested, you and a few of your buddies can call and ask...can't hurt

It is cheaper for me to buy it at home...as compared to four hours of drinks and tips, lol. And my recliner is much more comfortable.
