Weakness on "D"?...linebackers?

Chavis really liked Lamarcus Thompson. He's had two good springs while here at UT. I don't know if that will translate over to Saturdays in the fall though.

I'm not really concerned at LB at all.

I'm much more concerned about the OL and QB and a little concerned about WR.

DT scares the hell out of me. If Dan Williams goes down, Tennessee has a true freshman, a converted DE (I really like Wes Brown but he'll need a break) and a bunch of scrubs at DT.

WR should be fine.

I agree.

Not a lot of experience but Hancock has made plays when he's been on the field, Moore is a legit deep threat and Jones doesn't get enough credit for what he's been able to do.

Rogers isn't a world beater but he's serviceable.

That's about how I feel about the WR situation. Not great but shouldn't be the reason we lose.

My concerns with WR is finding a guy who can be a legitimate deep threat. I think Hancock and Moore have the potential to do that though.

Moore has questionable hands but he can flat out run past everybody.

Hancock could have a huge year. He got lost in the shuffle last year and it didn't really matter who played WR last year with the terrible QB play.

Hancock isn't going to be a deep threat. He could certainly catch some deep fades/jump balls in the endzone though.

Moore is the deep threat.

The LB from Stone Mountain, GA. coming in this year is a beast and will bump a starter.

Forget about LB.... The OL and the DL are a few stingers away from being a total unmitigated disaster.

It doesn't matter how much better Stephens and Crompton are if people like Coleman, Dunlap, Hardy, etc... (continue listing dominant SEC pass rushers) are right on top of them after the snap because of the lack of talent on the offensive line.

Also, it doesn't matter who plays LB if the guards and TEs aren't tied up in double teams at the LOS...

Thanks for your wonderful insight to these obvious problems.

OK. obviously nothing new, but why worry about LB when the team has much more pressing problems is all I'm saying.

Especially when, historically, UT has done well at that position.
