Ainge was starting QB. I know I am fixing to get ripped for this statement. We were very much in that Florida game too much bad QB play.

Normally i would rip on you for that because I couldnt stand Ainge but I agree he did know how to manage the team and clock he just was afraid to take a hit so I couldn't stand him for that

We wouldn't of beaten Florida. Erik Ainge doesn't play special teams - and Florida's offense was just toying with us in the second half trying to improve their run game.

Yes, great point........If Ainge was the q-back, and our special teams were at least semi-special.........at least could tackle, then we would be nearly unbeatable, in my opinion..........

Two Crompton turnovers in the endzone and possibly going into the half down 20-14 plus getting the ball first in the second half I would have liked our chances. Have you ever though how awful QB play affects a team. Case in point look at the Titans. Vince is awful and the team looks down when he is in, put Collins in and the recievers actually give a little more effort because they will get some balls thrown at them.

Hey, roll me one outta ya'lls bag...seriously. We got hammered 59-20 with Ainge and Cut.

We woulda beat the crap out of UCLA, hammered UAB harder, but still lost to Florida.

Florida barely rolled out any offense against us. Ainge would have kept us in the game, but we still would have lost by a TD or 2. Still better than 30-6.

I think we could have had at least two scores because I think any QB with knowledge would have saw they had noone lined up over center and would have audibled to a sneak once they lined up and saw that on the goal line

We would definitely be 2-1. As for beating UF, I think we would have at least been in that game. I think there would be a good chance for going into halftime 17-10.

myer new he had this game in the 1st 5 min of the game. he didn't want to run the score up because he wants fulmer and chavis around for 5-8 more years. he knows it's an easy win

I think we would be 3-0 with a better punter. See what a DUI can do?

Think about 40 net insteed of 25 net.

Possibly. Do you think that if the head coach had booted the starting punter after his first couple of DUIs there is a better chance that there would be another quality punter on the team now? I guess I'm wondering if they missed/passed a couple of guys because Colquitt was still on the roster and the presumed starter.

What about foster getting that personal foul in the first drive of the game. Then the very next series he's right back in. No accountability from the coaches all the way down to the players.

eh...we'd be 2-1 with a 7 point loss to Florida
I think you're probably right. We would have handled UCLA, but it's hard to say what difference Ainge would have made against Florida. I do think Ainge AND Colquitt could have made the Florida game more interesting though.

I watched a replay of the game last night (sober this time). We were NEVER in that game. They are on a totally different level than we are.
Also, I think it's sad that our super star on defense is Eric Berry. If a DB is making all the plays then our line and linebackers are not very good.

Florida's offense was not overwhelming. They actually played pretty bad. Most of our problem was special teams coverage, penalties. If we take away the short field for the Gators they score maybe half what they had.

I agree with you about the D line and linebackers. They have not been impressive at all!

Ding ding ding! We might even be 3-0 with Rick Clausen. At least 2-1 and feeling good about this weekend.

honestly, i could live with that...course i think cutcliffe might still need to be here too

Wrong. Clawson's playcalling has been fine. It's the QB executing that is the problem. The UCLA game was a desperate attempt by an OC that knew his QB couldn't compete in the SEC.

What offense? We barely ran any offense except inside handoffs and Tebow dives. That game was over with 5 min. left in the 1st quarter.
