Yes, I said it.

Either Neal or Lane will run for 100 yards and CP will break another on an end a round.

This game is going to be much more balanced on offense than people are expecting.

Watson will also be in the game.

If we can just convert on 3rd and shorts running the ball thats pretty much all that matters as far as the run game. Most of the damage is going to come threw the air but a couple nice runs would be nice to open up play action.

I agree. I was going to start a similar thread. We haven't shown our running game. We haven't had to show it. We haven't tried to run up the middle much at all the first two games. We are capable of running the ball down their throats. However, we will set up the run down their throats with a high powered passing game. Look for us to have more rush yards than them and twice as many passing yards. Vols win by atleast two TDs!!!

Don't see it happening, man..

Why would TN change the direction of their identity?

The Vols need to be selective when they run, if we are dinking and dunking down the field on 10 to 12 play drives with no huddle and their defense gets winded, run the ball a few times.

We will spread the field enough to get some rushing yards. If they aren't committed to stopping the pass fully Tyler and company is gonna hit em with an aerial assault unlike one they will see the rest of 2012! We need our D to show up big and this game will be ours.

He would just get "stoned" at the LOS like the rest of our backs. We just don't have a good run blocking OL....let's be honest and stop drinking so much orange koolaid.

uhh.. im pretty sure having JAMAL LEWIS would more then make up for having a below average run blocking o line.

They have showed it and most of the plays called were suppose to go up the middle and Neal bounced them outside for a lost and Lane came in and started running up the middle. I hope one of them or both have a good night but To act like they haven't been trying to run the ball is just crazy. I think we all went through this last year at the start , thinking we were saving our running game for FLa and that's when we all found out we didn't have one.

I doubt we run it down their throats. I bet we do catch them trying to at coverage and one of guys breaks a long run though. I thank Q Watson gets a few meaningful carries. I like what I see in his explosiveness and speed.

he only averaged like 2.4 yards per carry against ncsu

True but the point was that the touches are there. Vs ncsu we ran the ball 38 and had 41 pass attempts. Vs ga state we had 43 rush attempts and 28 pass attempts. The touches are most definitely there, they just have to make the most of every hand off.

Well that settles it. We're going to crush them.
