We may not be able to stop Gurley and Marshall, but the Georgia secondary is depleted and our WRs should own them.

They just moved Langley (4 game starter last year) to WR. They lost Harvey Clemons, Shaq Wiggins, and the only returning Corner is Swann. They started a walk on all spring on the other side.

So I'm calling a shootout. Who scores more Gurley and Marshall? Or our WRs?

They also have an unproven QB. I think Georgia will finish 7-5 and Richt will be done there.

Our WRs living up to your expectations may depend on our O line holding up. If they do I like our passing game versus almost anyone.

Even if the O line were bad We can screen pass to the walk ons side all game. Then what? They have a serious dilemma at CB. Heck Tre Mattews is suspended their first couple of games I think.

If our WRs corps is as talented as most of us think they will be, they will be a nightmare for almost every secondary they face.

i hope Richt stays indefinitely

He's beaten UT 5 of the last 6 years, including the last 4. Like to see him go and Georgia make a god-awful piss poor ridiculously pathetic hire like we did with Dooley and it sets their program back for 5-6 years.

I'm sure that if they moved a DB to WR, they probably have a pretty good plan for their secondary

I don't want ANY excuses when TN starts beating long tenured SEC coaches like Richt, Saban, and Spurrier on a consistent basis.

you say that like its some sort of accomplishment.

Richt has never owned anyone. he is not a threat to win an SEC title, or even more laughable, a national title this year or the next.

With as much money as UGA has, they could go out and get someone that can coach and recruit and take over the east, esp since we are still a couple years away.

Richt needs to stay until after 2016 imo, then they can do whatever they want.

I hope not.

Unless of course, CBJ can continue to recruit at the current level and beat CMR on an annual basis.

The state of Georgia is usually loaded with talent and for Tennessee to take some key recruits away from UGA, will certainly cause Richt to drop in popularity.

so you would rather UGA go out get a better coach? keep in mind they haven't had a bad recruiting class in a while nor a losing season. its not like coming to UT where the coach had to start from scratch. UGA always has all the pieces for a good team, they just never put it together because Richt is not a good coach

Speaks volumes about their coaching staff. They are the ultimate underachievers. The clock is ticking.

many uga fans have been calling for Richt's head for a while now. I am glad he is still their coach. The right coach that knows how to manage a team and win a tight game could be dominating at uga right now, esp since the East is wide open and has been. I mean Mizzou won the east for pete's sakes. No way that should have happened. He almost lost to a pretty terrible and clearly outmanned vols team last year and 1 more inch out of Pig and we win

we may get to see him pretty early since there is no more need to hold him out for a redshirt. I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a few series in our 1st 3 games

Careful what you wish for. Richt has done well at UGA, but hasn't lived up to expectations regularly. If he left, great coaches would be lining up to take that job. With their recruiting base in GA and the resources they have, in addition to the talent already there, I'd just as soon have Richt stay and continue to "under-achieve".

comparing anyone's record against the vols is pretty weak argument, especially since 2000. I hope that changes soon.

Georgia would be a highly coveted job. Be careful what you wish for. People assume Kirby Smart if that job opened, but it would get interest from great coaches.
