We support Jon Crompton

This guy is on CRACK and I mean the good stuff.......I hope Laimison or Stephens is starting next week. Get them warmed up against Ohio, this is a perfect oppertunity. I don't think they could hurt any more than Cromp daddy. I don't fault Cromp he is doing as good as he can, but that is not much.

It does not make sense to continue to start Crompton. He will not be here next year. Go ahead and let Stephens get some playing time.I don't want to start next year with a QB that has no experience. The Ohio game would be the perfect time to change. IMO

You don't build for the future until you've given up on the present.

Crompton is a game changer. In the negative sense. 2 weeks in a row he comes out after halftime and throws a pic on the first possession. The coach is so hamstrung in his playcalling it is downright predictable. What's impressive is that we did so well being so predictable.

His habit of throwing the ball out of bounds when it's third down and the game is on the line kills me. 3rd and 5 and if the play doesn't open up like designed he just gives up. What other quarterback does that. Geez, at least tuck it and try to run.

he was decent in the 1st half. he almost threw a touch down pass but the receiver stepped out of bound and messed it up.
I agree that if we had a good passing game with a good QB, we could've won the game. still, I'm happy with the result of today's game.

I agree. I think we did show every team in the league today that we will not throw the ball unless we are past the 50 yard line AND it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. the script has been written on how to beat tn now. 8 or 9 guys in the box and stop the run and watch for the occasional screen. Kiffin obviously doesn't have any faith in Crompton's decision making. I don't see it getting any better either. Crompton didn't lose it for us today, but he really never was put into a position to. I would really like to see Stephens in against ohio to get some game experience before we get some tougher sec opponents.

Support him 100 percent, but he just doesn't have it. Before the ball is snapped we're down already.

Are you kidding me? He didn't throw but maybe 5 balls down field (past 5 yards). 90% of our passes were to our running backs.

And yes that is the playcalling.

But why is the playcalling that way?

Because Crompton sucks.

Give me a break.

AMEN..I couldnt have said it better

I don't know what coach has in his head, he must have a greater plan. No way Crompton gives you a better chance to win than the others.

yeah... he is terrible.

11/19, 2 Int... 0 TD, thats 7 Int in 3 Games!!

not to mention he lost us a TD by throwing so damn late on 2nd down when we were on the 4yrd line... 3rd down wasnt his fault, florida had good coverage.

we cant score and our rushing is going to slow down because teams are not going to be afraid to stack 8 defenders in the box, as the 3rd qrt. proved. As long as we have the RB handoff puppet behind the center, our passing game is going nowhere.

Crompton's worst loss: UCLA
Stephens' worst loss: Wyoming

I'll take Crompton. Thanks, though.

yeah, receiver messed up because crompton took 10 years to throw it to him... there was a GREAT 5sec. window to connect for a td...

That is the worst comparison ever. The whole team was down against Wyoming because of Fulmer being fired and having the worst year ever as a team. Crompton has now lost 2 games to UCLA that he should have won.

And, yes both the losses to UCLA were 100% completely Crompton's fault.

Stephens was 3-9, 27 yards, and 2 interceptions. 1 was returned for a touchdown, the other set them up at our 4 yard line.

We lost 13-7. Both scores were Stephens' fault.

He did fine today all but the throw out of bounds pass on the last drive... The two picks were no problem today.. He did not loose the game for us... We should have won... But I think we are good for the rest of the season.

Good lord. Have all the Fulmerites now become Cromptonites?!? This guy is an absolute cancer. You can't beat good teams or even decent teams when they know that you can't throw the ball downfield. Our opponents are actually hoping that we'll throw the ball downfield because they know that Crompton will throw far more picks than touchdowns (unfortunately, our crappy QB can't play every game against Western Kentucky).
