We owe LSU, big time.

The second half of the 2001 SEC Championship was definitely the real hobnail boot for the Vols football program.

Loved all the wins and success of the 90s under Fulmer, but that moment in Atlanta proved to me that college football was changing and he wasn't. Unfortunately, Fulmer wasn't forward thinking enough to clean house and revamp his staff for the changing times. Also, unfortunately, UT has zero leadership in Hamilton. Zero

Naw, we did those things to ourselves courtesy of Fulmer becoming lazy in recruiting and refusing to change with the times as other programs surpassed us scheming-wise. He couldn't continue to win simply by out-talenting people alone. That plus Bozo clowns running the athletic department. LSU, like other programs, including Georgia State, took advantage of that, or benefitted from our STUPIDITY.

Sometimes, I think you are kinda full of yourself. But you nailed that one.

remember when dooley beat lsu and won the music city bowl in the same season. but actually didnt really beat them lol. i swear these are the only two games in the history of football where the refs went back AFTER the time clock expired to give the other team another chance to win hahaha

The SECCG in 2001 was one of the worst coaching job
I have ever seen. To allow a backup QB run draws over
and over again, was painful to watch. The UT coaching
staff should have been forced to return their pay checks.
Yep. That's when the decline started. Wasn't Matt Mauck the QB?

We should’ve beat these clowns in 2006, 2007 SEC title game and 2010. We were outright robbed in 2006 and 2010 games

If we are all honest, a win in that game would have meant getting thrashed by Miami. Our players showing up with roses was just stupid. Overconfident players and poor coaching started the downfall of the football program.

We beat them in the most awesome fashion in 2005. I'll forever believe a voodoo curse was laid upon us

Down by the waterhole, drunk every Friday
Eating their nuts, saving their raisins for Sunday
Lions and tigers who wait in the shadows
They're fast but they're lazy, and sleep in green meadows

Well that's all right by me.

Saw Ian and Tull just a few years ago at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Ian's voice is very raspy but he has a kid that sounds like him doing a lot of the singing. His flute playing though is still legendary. The guitar player on Aqualung was as good as Martin Barre in his prime.
