I am upset that he crumbled so easily when we needed him to step up instead.
It's almost like he psyched his self out when he realized he was the number one corner for Florida week.
Sutton went down and Martin crumbled.

What I wish for...is for Martin to realize Suttons predicament.
NO matter how hard Sutton rehabs he will not play another down this season.

All Martin has to do is buy in! And he's back out there. A better player than before. Just buy in!

He is the only one who has a chance to gaurd Reynolds.

I believe in Justin Martin, just the same as I believed in Colton Jumper and any other Vol who trots out there.

We all know he has some attitude issues. But lets try to get behind this kid. Maybe thats what he needs most.

Growing pains. Martin will be fine. That team is a tight brotherhood and (i suspect) he wants to be a part of it

Ageeed,
He has the althetic ability, it is just a technique issue which can be easily corrected. Come on Justin we believe you can do it.

Well a little food for thought.. the guy that started in his place did a fine job.. notice he didn't show up in any highlights? I would hope that a starting corner would be in some positive highlights but none is better than bad ones. You didn't see him getting burned for TD's or getting PI's or giving up deep passes over the top. he has a nice quiet night. If he can pull that off against aTm and Bama we are good. Because no highlights means whoever he is covering ain't getting any either.

So far Justin Martin has been really good at getting burned and racking up stupid penalties. Football isn't just about atheletic ability, you have to be smart too. Keep him off the field until he gets his mind right. He's more of a liability than a help.

I hope the light comes on for him, but I'm afraid he may be used to relying completely on his physical gifts. I doubt he's had to be coachable in the past. This is SEC football and he's not special enough to not listen to his coaches.

No doubt Justin has the talent , he just needs to hear the "popping sound". You know the sound heard when one pulls his head out of his ***.:)

It was

Foreman
Moseley
Gaulden

Most of the game. I'm not sure you watched the game.
Baylen was not out there.

So back to my point. Justin played well last year. He is the only one who can gaurd Reynolds. And we need to be able to stop him from moving the sticks.

Good points. I would say at this level no one has that type of talent where they don't need coaching.

Yes hes been a liability for sure, but we've seen him not be one before.

I choose to believe he will turn it around. Because we need him too... this week.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

We need Team far more than we need any single member of the team. I hope Justin gets his head out of his 4th point of contact and returns to the fold as a member of our Team.

I agree and Thats what Butch has probably told him.

We know Foreman and Moseley can only give us so much.

Justin is incredibly gifted... he's putting in danger a very bright future in the NFL and the ability to help his family.

We've seen him play well. We've seen it. We know what he can do.

^ This all day everyday and twice on Saturdays. He has had more than his fair amount of chances to play CB and has failed miserably every time. He should NOT be on the field again this year at CB unless he is the absolute last option.

Headcase? Non-coachable? What I see
