After reading this from Clay Travis,

Tennessee's Fans Know More Than John Currie and the Haslams - Outkick the Coverage

I feel motivated. He's absolutely right and we need to keep standing our ground. Let's not settle just because it's a little better than the last offer. Let's not settle for another 4 years of mediocrity. Let's not let this incompetent staff + Haslams ruin our program. This is what we're supposed to do at times like this. We can make a difference. Think Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Donald Trump fighting for presidency. It all seemed like a losing battle, but they fought through and made a difference. We need more voices like Clay who will stand up for us, we need more voices on campus, social media, radio,tv and everywhere we can be heard. Let's not wait for them to hire, Butch Jr then threaten to #emptyneyland. Let's not let it get to that point. They know we'll be mad and then get over it when spring practice starts. They'll invite us to the spring game, for free. We'll go cause we love our team and because we have hope. We'll go to the games until the end of the season, only to end up back in this exact same spot. We are the customers, ever business knows. The customer is always right. And if they can't give us quality, then we shouldn't keep consuming the crap they are force feeding us.

For those saying it's just a game, life goes on. Calm down, we'll get a coach, or let's wait and see what happens. And all those " I'll support them no matter what" crowd. You are part of the problem.

It's time to stand up. Get serious.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

LOL!!! WTF!!! I ain’t gonna get political, but seriously, the first two names would have an absolute heart attack being mentioned with DT if they weren’t already dead.

This coaching search is becoming stranger than fiction. The vast majority of us have been proven wrong at just about every turn. I know I have been, but i am mostly wrong anyway. Just think about it.

Gruden. Regardless of what anyone thinks about him, there seemed to be just as much interest from him as was in 2012 if not more so. But it seemingly died on the vine. Many were sure we were landing him. I bought in for awhile.

Then the Schiano fiasco. Wont go into that but it seemed like that was a sone deal. Same with Brohm and recently Doeren. Most of us at one time or another said oh well we might as well face the facts, Brohm ir Doeren will be coaching Tennessee next year. But what happened? Neither was hired. Now you could make the argument that its because of the AD, us fans or both and all are valid. But it just seems very odd to me.

If people were as overly sensitive about issues of sexuality in the 1960's as they are today, then MLK would have had an awful hard time getting any traction. Mind you I'm 22 and I say this. Our country has gone mad

It's possible that part of the problem is that Currie has no idea how to negotiate contracts/salaries with a candidate. Just because he has an MBA does not mean that he knows how to negotiate. Let's face it, he does not come across to too many as a "people person." In order to negotiate effectively, you must build at least a little bit of relationship with the person you are dealing with. I don't think Currie knows how to do that. I think he just walked in and threw $7 million on the table and said, "Hi Mike, we'll give that $7 million to you for seven years running, how's that? Sign here." Or something along that line. Currie is a bean-counter, Gundy is a coach... they do not talk the same language at all!

Currie is under the gun to get a coach signed yesterday, and is running scared because he does not know what he is doing. He also doesn't have the authority to make $$$ decisions and has to call mommy (Davenport) for approval.

So, what I'm saying is this, John Currie is simply the wrong man for the job! He ought to be working as an accountant for Pilot Flying J or elsewhere in their firm. He is showing even less competence as athletic director than Mike Hamilton and Dave Hart... and that is really saying something. Shame.

Love him or hate him, Clay Travis did an awful lot of spur the fanbase into action to get the Schiano hiring derailed. For that, he has my thanks.

The only thing we can do is continue to put pressure on President Joe Dipietro and Chancellor Davenport to put an end to this nonsense, replace Currie with someone who has a backbone and hire a winner.
