Or the SEC East, or the (insert any other qualification here really)
But we, as fans, still have the ability to be the best fanbase in the nation. This not only encourages the team on the field that we have right now, but shows future recruits that we're the program that they should want to play for. We support our team through ups and downs (even very extended downs like we're in right now).
I've seen enough negativity on here and other mediums around that I think it's time to come out and say something. As a former UT student-athlete, I experienced ups and downs, and seen fans stay with us through most. When they didn't, it hurt. Bad. You never want to feel like people have given up on you. Sports are a funny thing - the phrase 'Any Given Sunday' has some true merit, and crazy things happen over the course of a season.
I'll be there on Saturday with my group of converted UT supporters being our loudest, and I truly hope that any of you on the fence about attending the game will decide that it's worth the trip. Not only to support our guys, and possibly witness a (very unprobably) upset, but to show the country that Vol Nation is not a fairweather bunch.
Go Vols.
