We lose maybe our best five players(Bray, Hunter, Hughes, Lathers, and Jackson) and we are still expected by some to win or come close against #1 and #2. Take any experienced team's five best player's away and see what the results would be. We are young, inexperienced, and lacking depth, cut the team and coach a break.

Why does everyone feel the need to make their own thread? Could this not fit into someone else thread that is the same exact thing that was probably on the this same page?

It goes for everyone on this forum like seriously it's ridiculous

It's a forum. You know how out of control it would be if each thread had 100+ posts in it? You don't have to read it...

But I agree with the OP.. our luck has been absolutely ridiculous this year.

Malik Jackson and Da'Rick Rogers are better than Herman Lathers.

Joseph Ayres is better than Montori Hughes.

I did not expect us to win.

I did expect us to get a first down in the second half.

That's a ridiculously high standard, I know.

With regard to the problems with our defensive backs, in addition to losing JJ, we also lost the other projected starter at safety--what was his name? The guy that got booted after the Bar fight--Miles?

We've definitely been fighting an uphill battle all year. After next year's recruiting class, we'll have some depth. The year after that, the depth will know what its doing. We're on a good course, and coming from the bottom of the tiny, nasty puddle at the bottom of the dumpster, we're making big strides getting our young talent on the field now.

Oh, and I agree totally with the OP. :hi:

I think we need to put a reverse on the "Curse of Rohan Davey". From that very moment Kevin Burnett knocked him out, UT Football has been on a slow fall from the top! Minus Michigan of course. :)
It appeared rock bottom was last year. This year we were poised to suck, but at least surprise 1 or 2, then the wheels start coming off with JJ etc as OP said. This yr may be the bottom if Vandy takes us down. We need an end to this now!
