Good job Hamilton. You have reunited the 1990 coaching staff plus a few Duke coaches. But don't worry, we don't care here at Tennessee. We LOVE 8-4 flankerscreen football (sarcasm).

It is nothing personal against Cut, but we will be a consitent 7-5/8-4 after we rebuild for a couple of years.

We would be completely rebuilding the program the next 2 years pretty much regardless who we hired. I'm talking about realistic options.. not these ridiculous rumors of Gruden, Stoops, Dungy, etc.

Welcome to the tenuous situation Kiffin and crew left us in.

Maybe Hamilton didn't hire Cut, maybe it came from the BOT. I think Hamilton lost his power and likely his job when Muschamp turned them down. I think after that he was pretty much a lameduck and will be fired in the next week or so. Someone is going to take a fall over what happened the past few days.

You people have no right to grip..after supporting a hire with 5 wins and 15 loses! at the date of his hire!

yeah you seem to fail to realize just how screwed Kiffin left us one way or another

that plus the fact of cause of when he did it - so close to signing day - we could only go after who was left, noone really wants to pack up and move to another school 3 weeks before signing day and come here

if you need some sort of comfort...i dunno, uh he's our mike shula there, and like bama we were in a situation where we got screwed in just the right way that we had to take whatever we could actually get

Dukes record last year was 5-7. The best team they played was GT and VT. So expect less than a winning record.

God this will set back our program years! Cut has no personality, he won't be able to recruit against Meyer, Saban, Miles, etc., plus we'll go back to having a stagnant boring predictable offense! Great job Hamilton if ths is true! Well, I'm gonna go cry now!

Cutcliffe is a good coach and I am happy for him at Duke where he should've remained and laid the ground work for something there.

This move reeks of desperation to try to salvage the Fulmer era.

Look at every school in our division

Florida has Meyer
USC has Spurrier whos actually brought talent there
Georgia has Richt
Vandy has Johnson
Kentucky has a colored coach who might become special in Phillips

And what do we have? Another Fulmer/Majors guy thats 55 and was previously fired at Ole Miss.

Skip Holtz already agreed to coach and signed his contract with USF. Explain how you're sure we would have had him

Cut wants to bring his Duke staff with him. To hell with this crap.

Kiffin screwed us hard and now we're stuck with Cut as he obviously wasn't our first choice.

right, cause kiffin jumping ship with the coaching staff and taking the recruits clearly wasn't the thing that was going to set us back 3-4 years

not a great HC or recruiter...maybe an OC, but thats it..if he is hired we are doomed to 8-4,7-5 seasons for the next couple of years..atleast the jerk that just left was building us to be a championship team.why settle for a coach that cant do that.

Being a great offensive coordinator does not make you a great coach. Cut had his chance at Ole Miss, and left that team bare of any talent at all because he could coach but couldn't recruit and build the program.

You mean the entire 2007 staff under Fulmer?

We already know who the staff will be, there is going to be few if any surprises
