......like, "Wow! Did you see how Spurrier dialed up that one play he had just for us to win the game?" He always attacked us and it paid off for him. Us? We play conservative when the game is in our hands and lose the edge and the game. Always - doesn't matter whom the coach is it seems. We stop doing what put us ahead and get afraid we're going to lose and play that way. You would think coaches would learn.

You’re saying this like it’s a frequent occurrence. How often has this really happened under Heup?

Luckily it hasn't bitten us too often--but Oklahoma last year and Florida in 2022 come to mind (EDIT: didn't lose so I guess I'm wrong here, but we definitely took the foot off of the gas and made it closer than it should've been) . Finally caught up to us today. Heup is the man for the job and I wouldn't trade him but there were a few things that I wish we would've done differently.

-Go for it on 4th and 2 at midfield
-Be more aggressive when we recovered the Stockton fumble in Georgia territory
-Try to move the ball more at the end of regulation with three timeouts to make the kick easier for Gilbert. In that situation with a high stress kick I want it to be as easy as possible for my kicker and Georgia's defense was reeling. No reason to settle for a 30+ yarder. Just my take though.

Yea, those 3 long TD bombs were very conservative. I hate conservative game plans where we nearly score 50!

Gilbert should’ve made the kick, we did everything right to win the game. The 4th and 6 TD Georgia got was just a championship play. Pressure got to Gilbert but if you have a 42 yard field goal to win you did the right things. He just didn’t make it

Hindsight is 20/20, but the coaches called the game to be in position to win the game with 7 seconds left, but we didn’t make the game winning kick.

I do wish we were more aggressive after that strip sack but starting 1st/15 is immediately tough. Heupel mentioned post game they wanted to be aggressive but UGA was in 2 high bracket coverage, felt we missed a block on one of the run plays that would have got a first. Absolutely wish we were a little more aggressive with the last minute, not necessarily throwing the ball, but play calls to set us up with a shorter fg. Umarov with a false start made it even more difficult.
