We have at least two capable QB's that are tremendous athletes

Do you think Coach is having dreams of plays where both of these guys are on the field at the same time? I gotta believe we are going to run some "No He Didn't" type plays in the big games ahead. Hooker and Milton could give the opposing DC a mental breakdown.
I’m surprised that no one is talking about Tayven Jackson - the # 3 QB. He didn’t play for long, but he looked to have some talent.

Tennessee is quickly becoming elite at QB and we are going to get to the point to where we are recruiting one top notch QB over the next. Last year we got Jackson this year we are going to get Nico. By the time it gets to the point where Jackson and Nico could be starting we could have another talented freshmen waiting to take there spot. Great problem to have tho.

We have depth at QB and a coach who knows how to put them to work. This was my first time seeing Jackson, and he was great at fakes, options, progressions, ball placement, and economy of motion. He didn't make a single mistake and appeared very cool through his series, up to scoring a TD on an option play. Did you see how he flipped the ball to the ref like he'd done it a thousand times? He's fun to watch, as are Hooker and Milton.

If Milton takes the next step and use all his natural talent Tennessee could be even more lethal on offense.
it appears he’s already taken the next step…though if he continues to grow next year he could find himself in good position for some nfl draft boards. That long TD pass went about 60 yards…was on the money and seemed effortless…can’t coach that.

Seems maybe we are following the Clemson model. Get the first difference maker, then the next and then the next…and all the sudden DL/OL boys start coming along too!

Yup all he did was flick his wrist and the ball went 60 yards. He is a real life Uncle Rico. I've never seen that kind of arm strength in Knoxville

The irony is that Clemson's first real difference maker at QB was Tajh Boyd, a lifelong Vol fan who was 100% committed to us until Kiffin told him that he should look elsewhere because he wasn't the type of QB he wanted. I guess he wasn't accurate enough in beer bottle chucking contests.

Joe Milton may have the strongest arm I’ve ever seen at the college level. If that guy has the brain power to adapt along with an ability to execute the short passing game he’ll make a lot of money in the NFL. All the other tools are there. Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a QB take something off a 60 yard rope until last night. The dart he threw to Holiday against Ball State was also incredible.

I’m ecstatic Milton stayed here at Tennessee.

Damn it..I came to this thread to post about Uncle Rico throwing the ball a quarter mile back in '82...but you beat me to the punch.

IF nobody transfers we are set at quarterback for the next 5 years. Been a long time since we can say that. Not saying stop recruiting the top QB but it feels good not to have to worry.

Good news about if/when we get QB transfers...and there will be some over time, is that any QB in the portal will have a bulls eye on Knoxville. I'm really kinds surprised we're not seeing multiple 5* WRs committing...maybe I should say YET. I could see WR's wanting to get on the band wagon and flip later in the year.

If our secondary can get better and we can continue to have success stopping the run our defense is going to be one of the best in the country. As crazy as it sounds from looking at our D in the first 3 games if we could improve even more than we have we could easily be top 15 to top 10 every year.

If you're a QB or WR why would you not want to play for this offense

Speaking of option, I loved seeing that thrown into the offense Saturday.

I mean if you can’t get a beer bottle in a car window sized spot from two stories up and forty yards away are you even a quarterback?
