She reminds me of a taller, slightly upgraded version of Avery Strickland. Little better averages on the shooting.

She went 35-81 from 3. Would’ve been 5th on our team last year for 3PM with way less attempts than those around there. MIA Pauldo shot double the attempts and made 12 more. Zee spearman shot 20 more 3’s and made 11 less. Also, she’s not going to be at the top of our depth chart IMO.

She only shot two threes a game ! Ok … Spearman should have stopped at two shots and we would have been better off! At least this player will make one of the two shots she takes ! Just saying

Technically, WV did better than we did. She was 7th in minutes on a team that likes to press. She wasn’t a starter level but a decent reserve.

Exactly. And spearman wasn’t shooting them at 40% either.

If she shoots 4 per game and makes two of them she’ll be perfect. She’s going to get those opportunities here too.

Yes, I saw that, too. Playing an average of 32% of each game could lead someone to surmise that she wasn’t a big factor in total. Who knows, though?

I’m not sure she’ll be a huge factor for this team either, but like you said you never know, and I welcome her to the team.

Not really. He plays his starting 5 a lot of minutes. She was one of their top players off the bench.

I guess “decent reserve” is helpful. I was hoping for an emerging high potential or a starter level player as opposed to the 7th best WVA player. Our second five is far too often matched against starters that dominate them and it doesn’t sound like our coach is changing.

Makes sense, but we‘ll have to wait and see if she is in the first or second five or further down the pecking order.
