and I hope that Hamilton takes the same approach with Fulmer as he did with Petterson in finding us a new direction. I know that I need a breath of fresh air. This old and stale air is starting to choke me.

But like Fulmer says 95% of the fans have never played sports. LOL how comical was that as though my 71 year old mother cannot figure out all the mess they are trying on the hill is not working.

For all those that point to Nebraska as a"it can happen to anybody" I say yes it can.

But it is rare that there is a NC winning coach that falls this far. They lost Osbourne, the mastermind of their success. It is the coach that is responsible for staying power. Usually there is at least some staying power in good coaches. Even the old man JoPa has the number 3 team in the country. Bowden in not going after the NC this year but ther were challenging a lot more often than we were and they are not having near as bad a season as we are now.

Unfortunately the truth is that Fulmer was never a great coach. Chavis and Cutcliffe, along with superior talent, is what got us through the 90's.

how on earth do fans "deserve" anything?

That's a very bama / KY centric entitlement mentality. Get over it and move on.

the baseball team has no fans. The golf team has no fans. The basketball team spent years with limited fans.

Fans who believe they are the reason that intercollegiate athletics exist live in fantasyland. Sweet, the rest of us get to join you soon as Obama is going to be president and start saving us money.

That's what we as fans mean to this university. Therefore we deserve our money's worth. I am not getting it at this point, are you??

You spend the money for the entertainment, in hopes that you get the result you're after.

Those sports all live off our mediocre multi-million dollar football team.

get your head out of your ass. Football started in places like Harvard and not because any fans care.

Those schools have crap like crew teams and they do it for a reason, which has nothing to do with idiotic, money-wasting fans.

I would bet though that there will be a budget meeting in the Winter/Spring time that shows where we have a deficit based on what they thought they would bring in after having a subpar team on the field.

Yeah, they bring in the smart crappy football players to get at their mommy and daddy's money. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.
