Poole. He had a solid game and is basically an all around great young man. Thought I'd thread something positive.

Dude is a beast for sure. If we can complete some passes here and there to keep opposing defenses honest, he could have a huge year.

I don't understand why we went away from him the whole second half. We just have no passing game with Simms. Florida is gonna put 9 guys in the box next week.

Oregon figured out that we have a terrible passing game and loaded the box. Only so much you can do against an 8 man front.

Poole is going to do some great things!!!! I can't understand why we didn't try and score at the end of the 1st half, knowing Oregon was getting the ball back??? Running and Oregon calling time outs and trying to get the ball back!!! Makes no sense to me.

Thought the O line did a nice job also. I know they allowed a sack or two but Simms had plenty of time most of the night and they paved the way for about 200 yards on the ground.

Poole will not be a factor at all if we can not open things up offensivly. We have to help the man out. If we can't throw, Poole will do nothing against SEC defenses that put 8 in the box.

Because they stacked the box once they saw that Simms can't pass to save his life..hard to run with that many guys close to the line

Poole needs a passing game to offset the defense from time to time. Otherwise, we will see the opposing teams defense stack the line and force our QB's to beat them thru the air.

I thought they did great til the 4th Q. I just hope Pope is okay. Gooch seemed to do alright while he was in there. I was real impressed by our 2 freshman. James and (RSFr)Schoefield

Yes and they made some very good adjustments too. With a shakey passing game and a decent run game it's a no brainer. Stack the box and adjust to the run.

Poole was pretty amazing tonight. The guy plays all out. I am very proud he's a Vol. Imagine how bad we'd be right now if he had of transferred. Seriously, imagine it for a second.

I think they executed a very piss poor offensive gameplan to perfection. If Chaney cannot get more creative to get these wide receivers open then it's going to be an extremely long year. We cannot leave a thin defense out there as long as we did.

Seems like they said something about Dooley trying to implement more plays this week and they couldn't absorb it.

They were open. They were open half the night. Simms cannot aim. Rogers was wide open for a 40 yard bomb and the ball went way way over his head out of bounds. Even the announcers were commenting on how his second and third reads were open.

On the pick 6 Hunter was wide open. Simms is the problem due to his making his decisions before the play is run.
