You have to have a d-line and tackles who aren't complete wusses. Give up the dream.

Go ahead and say it it. you're so pessimistic yadda yadda yadda. Feel better?

We're 7-5 at best. Ainge can't do it all.

GA and FL are much better teams then CAL.
UT will probably be 3-3 when they play Alabama.

this was the season opener with a lot of new guys you need to settle down and wait a lot can happen in the matter of getting a couple of games under your belt say we beat Florida we are in a great spot so wait a second and don't go wrting of a season after one game.

Buzz off dude, no one is in position to predict anything right now. Think negatively, then you're going to see everything negatively. I saw potential in our offense tonight. We've got potential to beat every team we face from here on out. We've also got potential to lose a lot of them. Someone's going to step up on both sides of the ball, that's all I'm going to predict.

So I guess no one is in position to predict anything but you? My opinion is as valid as yours.

I'm predicting 8-4 this season...

And for the first time, ever, on the record... I think Fulmer needs to go. Ainge is gone after this year, and it's looking like it will be a rebuilding project gone mediocre. If Fulmer's going to be canned, after this season is the time to do it.

Lets be realistic.

We can hope that we'll win every game from here on out. But based on tonight I expect at least a few more losses this year.

I don't see where you're coming from... I didn't predict a win in anything or a lose in anything. Predicting that someone will step up on both sides of the ball is, IMO, a valid prediction. Saying there's no chance we win the East is very invalid. We have a 16.66%, just like the rest of them. It's only week one. There's 11 more games to be played. We didn't start off with a cupcake like the rest of the SEC teams did.

You CAN say what you want, but if you say something like that this early, I doubt anyone on here is going to take you too seriously.

Agreed (with the caveat of seeing how we do over the next 2 months - but guessing it won't be pretty).

This is true. I've been a Fulmer supporter, but he's lost my trust in the last three years.

BTW - What would be the record for the SECE winner? 10-2? 12-0? 9-3?

So, if we'd had won this game, by some miracle...even with giving up that many points, would the season still be over? Or would it be a "tough win" that really gave us the motivation to slug it out with Florida??

I hate how pessimistic everyone is. If we still are struggling a few more games in, yeah, you can make a judgment, but now isn't the time to predict the rest of the season. IIRC, Cal rebounded pretty well after us last year, didn't they?

Cal didn't have to play FL, AL, GA, SC and Ark.

Sorry, I forgot that the sky is falling and that sometimes teams lose games to higher ranked opponents.

Well thats great logic. The more losses you pile up, the better you can validate them. Just think, after we lose to FL and fall out of the top 25 we have a ready made excuse for losing to GA, AL and maybe SC and Ark, because they'll all be ranked ahead of us. Fabulous.
