Sumlin actually has an offensive mind. He isn't a poser like Butch.

Coach Jones is way more than just an OC away from winning big. He needs a complete offensive over-haul and let Shoop install shoop's defense. CBJ ego is just way to big for all of that and that will eventually be his down fall

Butch can not and will not do this...he is too hard headed..

Cant/wont develop a scheme to fit one of the hottest RB's to ever come out of a TN highschool. To the point where the kid is getting beat up so bad he has to go elsewhere. Im from Whitehouse, TN originally and know the same people that are familiar with this kids family. He never wanted anything more than to play for UT and Jones ruined it for him.

Makes a proven running QB try and become a pocket passer to the detriment of the team and season.

Yes, you are. Texas A&M had two five star quarterbacks transfer out. They had another one de-commit.

Sumlin was a stubborn coach. Our OC sucked. Made Deboard look like a rocket scientist.

We hired a new OC. Got Knight. All of those moves stabilized our program. Tennessee can do the same thing, but Butch Jones will have to eat some humble pie.

Oh yeah, we also hired a new offensive line coach. He had previously coached for Sumlin into 2012.

Seems like Tennessee needs to do all of the things that Texas A&M did.

Sabin hires the best guys and gets out of the way. Let's Lane run the offense and Pruitt run the defense. Yeah he still coaches DB's but that's about all the input he has.. He's more of a quality control guy. Seems to work. Someone should take notes.

Butch started to lose me at the Florida loss last year. By all appearences this team has regressed since last year, they just had better luck this year. There is potential for the bottem to drop out of this season entirely. Butch needs to keep it together and win out, then fix the problems with the offense (changing the scheme and/or coaches) in the off season.

A loss to one or both of Kentucky and Vanderbilt is a very real possiblity. How the team plays these last few games will be telling.

One more thing. I have seen several posters say that we should fire Debord and promote Azzani. Promote the coach in charge of the most underperforming group of players on the team in Butch's tenure. Promote the passing game coordinator responsable for the pathetic throw game this season. Where this comes from, and why anybody thinks this is a good idea, is beyond me.
