True, and hopefully you are right. But if their strategies haven't changed much, get used to seeing the 10 yard curl used against y'all. Lord, I still cringe about how far off the LoS we used to play our CBs.

Put it to you this way. Dooley, a coach with a .400 or so winning % would see that and either ignore it was happening or tell his DC to back his CBs up even further.

I have trust in CBJ, a coach with a .650 winning % to consult, dare I say demand that his DC make an adjustment to get those 10 yard curls stopped. The difference in their historical winning %s should manifest itself in how they respond to those type situations.

Not sure what your boy CMR, who is a very fine coach was doing, but I gotta believe those types of in game adjustments equal difference between winning and losing coaches. Could just all be a bunch of BS speculation on my part. We shall see.

CMR is one of the nicest guys in coaching. Met him and had a personal conversation last season. Prince of a guy. CWM was his best friend, might still be. Richt agonized over firing Martinez and waited at least one season too many in most UGA fan's minds. But he kept him out of loyalty. I'm sure that Jones will have a very different relationship with both coaches. But these guys had some studs to work with at UGA and didn't produce. For UT's sake, hopefully they've learned. Better be loaded with some studs on D though. Just mho.

I remember Richt being incredibly loyal to Martinez due to their friendship. Actually think we are more talented than most of us realize, but definitely lack SEC speed on the back end. Sunseri's incredible incompetence last year actually exposed that deficiency. Never seen anything like it in my 40 years watching football. Moving back to 4-3 and changing defensive staff will help tremendously. Thanks for the info Dawg.

All the players were slower on D with sunseri.
Overthinking will definitely dull your response time. Mainly I blame sunseri, but S&C had a mandate of bigger too. Slower due to that as well? Dynamite can accomplish more quickly even if a bulldozer has more power...just a thought.
