I watched a lot of football today and we were far and away the worst from a fundamental standpoint. CJP and staff have a long way to go. Hard to coach a team with a losing mentality. This season is about changing that culture.

That is absolutely true. If this HC and his staff are one iota better than CBJ's, you couldn't tell it from the Vols' performance today.

Sadly, effort cannot be taught to individuals who have no desire to put forth any without being offered large sums of money by an NFL team. I get it, no one wants to risk injury but at some point you have to play with some heart and I don't think some of the guys on the team have any. If free agency were an option, you could cut them and replace them but we are stuck with having to use many of them until they can be recruited over or graduate.

This is why I don’t put much stock into star ratings and recruiting. I’m not saying ratings mean nothing, but they certainly don’t amount to what many people want to believe they do.

Pretty obvious at this point. Not very many SEC caliber players on this roster. Lyle turned it into Cincinnati south.

Except where landing a top 3 class usually results in a National Championship. That’s all we need.
