I was just wondering if Wayne Chism will be a better NBA player than Tyler Smith? My personal thought is that he will be. I think Chism is a Harder worker than Tyler. Also, Wayne will not be playing center in the NBA. He will be at power forward where he is better suited anyways. He can shoot from the outside and is terrific rebounder. I'm not knocking Tyler Smith. I hope he doe's good. I just think Wayne will be better. Please let me know what you think Volnation.

Neither will be very good pros but Chism has potential working for him. I don't think Tyler Smith even makes a team at this point. NBA is all about potential and Tyler Smith is peaked.

Chism no question about it. He has the skills you listed and HE CAN MAKE LAY-UPS BY USING THE BACKBOARD. I'm not "glad" that Smith is no longer, but that used to drive me CRAZY!!!!!

Chism will play like a Tayshaun Price minus the excellent outside shooting ability. Defense and intensity are there, scoring good enough. He will be getting a pro check for a long time.

I think Wayne will be the better NBA player, because he's more versatile already and he plays big boy defense. Wayne's biggest flaw as an NBA player is that he doesn't play above the rim, which is a huge factor when it comes to finishing. Both he and Tyler don't finish as consistently as the NBA scout would like to see from 5 feet and in. Tyler used to be automatic cutting across the lane and anything in close, but seemed like he regressed big time last year! Wayne's ability to defend, threat to hit the outside shot, passing, and ability to produce when hurt will probably get him drafted in the 2nd round, but he'll have to get stronger and prove himself in camp.

I'm not so sure you are right. I don't think Chism is a NBA HOF by no means but I could see him in the league for ten years I think he will be a good not great player.

I agree not a HOF by any stretch. A long lasting 10 year plus bench man no doubt. He has game for sure and is unique. That what the leauge is about anyway. Look at Prince and Noah, to mention a few.

smith and chism both have decent size but smith is a much better ball handler and has the ability to get to the rim and score or pass it off when he draws defenders. chism's ball handling skills aren't very good, i hold my breath every time he tries to break the press and bring the ball up the court! t. smith can score under the rim and so can chism, but neither one will be able to post up in the nba like they do in college. the size and athletic abilities of the dwight howards will overpower them in my humble opinion. but bc smith is more versatile, i thhink he'll be the better pro. i hope both of them make great nba players representing Tennessee!

IMO Tayshaun Prince has been one of the most overrated players in the NBA over the last 7 years or so. He isn't very good and never was all that great, his shot is terrible and defense is overrated.

There is no way that happens unless Chism increases his ball handling skills by about 50 times. I could see Chism being used more in a Rasheed Wallace style where he sets alot of ball screens and flares for shots. However, I certainly am not saying that he will be as good as Wallace.

I've always seen Chism as a poor man's Rashard Lewis. Nowhere near as good a shooter as Lewis, but a little bit better with his inside game and a better rebounder.

I've always seen Wayne as a taller, slower, less skilled version of Michael Jordan.

Chism should develop into a very good 4 man in the pro game. Not many his size can defend as well as he does and he does do quite well shooting from the 3.

I've always thought Chism had a much better shot at sticking with an NBA team than Tyler. Chism is a little bigger, and Tyler just doesn't seem to fit in at any position in the NBA. Plus I like Chism's outside shot much better.

He'll be serviceable, but he's a tweener. Not big enough to deal with NBA 4s and not athletic enough to deal with the 3s or 4s.

Chism certainly owes Tyler a huge debt of gratitude for opening the door for him. His chances of playing in the NBA went up exponentially with him carrying the water for the team as opposed to being "Robin" to Tyler's "Batman".
