YouTubeTV and ESPN+ when I have to for the streaming-only games.
I think this might be the most popular answer. It's what I use and I can't imagine switching to anything else.

Of course, the price keeps going up. I'm pretty sure YouTubeTV was $30 a month when I first signed up and left cable. Now I think I'm paying just under $100.

Yeah I think it's the best service. The high price is rough but the other comparable services out there are raising them too and I like the fact that they aren't sticklers about the sharing/location thing, at least not yet...

The only issue with the sharing thing is you're limited in the number of streams. What is it, three simultaneous streams, I think? I actually have the upgrade that allows unlimited streams, but I think that only works in the same household. And I've had issues from time to time with getting kicked off with the "too many streams" message, even though I have unlimited.

Oh that's right, I did run into that last season a couple times.

ESPN is launching their DTC service and will include their entire family of networks including ESPN+. And with the new deal they are trying to finalize with the NFL, it’s possible NFL Network and/or REDZone will be included in that also. $300 for an entire year or $30/month if you don’t want to be locked in for a year. I don’t have a need for anything else on cable and can get an antenna for local channels if needed. Going to be saving at least $50/month switching to this.

$300+/month for Xfinity Cable

EVERY time i look into "cutting the cable"...it seems that by the time you craft a way to subscribe to ALL the different streaming offerings...you're gonna be at about my $300+/month anyway...and have 4-5 remotes you have to juggle...and "firesticks" poking my LARGE Samsung...

Me, i just say "Tennessee Football" and I immediately have many choices to watch/select from...

$300 for the year isn't too bad, actually. That's $25 a month.

I guess with CBS out of the picture, you could catch every Tennessee game this way.

For me, I think the only thing I'd miss is the Cloud DVR of YouTube TV.

I wonder when it will launch. They need to hurry up, with football season starting in a month.

$300 seems astronomical. Do you have some premium add-ons (like HBO, etc.) with that?

I’m either at work or outdoors way too often and don’t watch nearly enough television to justify even half that amount. I could be eating steak every day of the week saving $300/month. Glad it works for you though.

Everything is see says it’s suppose to coincide with football season. I would expect to hear an update any day now. I don’t think it’s a coincidence they are trying to get this NFL deal done quickly so they can include that and get more subscribers.

Every time I've considered switching to a cheaper service, there isn't the option for cloud DVR, it's very limited, or there are channels I want that they don't have.

AND a "bag of chips"...+200 Mpbs internet access...
Well you didn’t say internet. You said cable. Even so, that’s still high. Basic EPB Fiber at 300 mbps is only $60/month or $10 more for a Gig in my neck of the woods. No contracts, no nothing. Heck I could get 10 Gig for $300/month if I wanted but literally have no need for that kind of speed.

I'm nowhere near $300 and I have YTTV, Netflix, Disney, Hulu, ESPN (the bundle), HBO Max, and Paramount+.

I'm at $124.97. Now I still get HBO Max free from AT&T (but that's $9.99) and Paramount+ free (only $7.99) as well (Wal-Mart Plus via American Express).

So even with those 2, it would come out to $142.95

*edit, with AT&T Fiber (1 Gig) $80, I'm at $204.97

Whenever I see people mention the 4-5 remotes thing I can’t help but to laugh my butt off. If you have a smart tv there is only 1 remote you use for EVERYTHING and most of them have voice control now. Even if you had to use the fire stick or roku that’s only one extra remote and it still controls your tv so you never even have to touch the other remote.

Honestly, ever since the Covid year I've been pretty successful with just going to YouTube and typing in the game and having a live stream to watch.

That said, I did notice that last year the live stream did get closed down more often than in years past...so maybe its time to finally pony up some cash.

Xfinity...$245 per month gets me all major channels, plus SEC Network, plus high speed internet fast enough to work from home, plus ESPN and ESPN2. I use a firestick for free SEC+.
