a crowd shot just showed a sizeable contingent wearing UT apparel. Duane Kuiper was puzzled by their presence, FP Santangelo set him straight as to why they were there.

In Kuiper's defense, he initially speculated that they might be there to see Todd Helton play, which was only unreasonable because of the number of fans. While Todd's certainly a favorite son, I don't think 30 people are going to fly to the Bay Area to watch him on a Monday night.

I'd say that statement makes him look like even more of an idiot.

Saw some UT gear at the Def Leppard concert last night. It's on the opposite coast from San Fran, but they were still geeked for game week.

Class is easy to recognize! :)

Not to mention Orange!

Unfortunately we're better known nationally for the latter rather than the former. Which is why I try to be a model citizen when I'm wearing the orange (except when I'm watching a game :)).

all this talk about "class" below this post coinciding w/ a trip to a def leppard concert somehow doesn't flow well in my head.

name me a fan base in the SEC, save Vandy, that doen'st have some sort of reputation involving drinking, loud, rowdy behavior? I'll give KY credit for the Bball contingency...they're as nuts as any of us......

I don't disagree. My name isn't "General Jack" (Daniels)for nothing.

Most here in Texas think of Vol fans as rednecks or hillbillies, of which I am neither. However, they also view us as very passionate - which I do nothing to discourage. I'm enlightening the locals, one longhorn and aggie at a time, that Texas actually isn't the epicenter for football.
