I dvr'd it last weekend and I just watched the first half, the half that mattered... this won't come as any big news flash, but Troy is absolutely terrible.

These clowns (Troy) are dropping passes, bumbling hand-offs, missing assignments left and right... on offense and defense. Not to mention they are really slow and the QB is only marginally accurate. I didn't see any of the Western KY game, but I'm guessing they aren't any better.

Florida, while they may be cognizant of the fact a much better opponent is coming to town, certainly has seen nothing near what we are going to bring. And their discipline hasn't been great. But I will say that Teblow can throw if given time.

I hope that Florida playing these chumps while we played legitimate competition works to our advantage.

not to mention the fact that we already have experience ON THE ROAD against a top 10 team...that will pay off in a big way for the younger guys who needed to get their feet wet.

I was at the game. The one thing I noticed comparing first half to second is the defensive scheme change. The two turnovers didn't help the defense, but the scheme changed to a cover 2/ zone where the corners could get more experience. The defense was very vanilla which I am sure you will agree. You can't put too much stock into the opening patsies. A lot is hidden for games such as this. Just like you guys will have developed new wrinkles, and open the playbook more so than you did for Cal. This is SEC play. The East title is more important than beating Cal.

I think it is a difference in philosophies. Fulmer obviously likes to test his team early, which means you had better get your player development done in camp and it limits the likelihood that you will utilize true freshmen unless they are just outstanding players from the get go. The past few UF coaches, at least going back to Spurrier, seem to have used the first couple of games as a sort of pre-season, which allows you to get more young guys on the field and try some different things without too much worry of losing a game. Given UF's dominance over Fulmer I can only say that I have my suspicions as to which strategy works best for purposes of readying a team for SEC play.

Ther is nothing like top rate competition to make a team better in every way. After Fla's loss Sat. they will be a much better team. We will improve on our D our O well it might improve a little.
