Watching Football This Saturday, Just Not The Vols

I watch the Vols every week. I'll watch this in person. I don't care who we play, I'll be watching and cheering.

More often than not, a loss just pisses you off. You probably should just root for a lot of injuries.

It could be just like we did with Oklahoma and they end up losing a nail biter and them being down after having that winning streak broken.

Probably the reason we are losing is because we our team thinks they are better than they are and so do our fans. Probably from running up the score on teams like Western Carolina only to get destroyed by the teams that matter the following week. Gives a false sense of reality sir, and it's been happening for how many years in a row now? Florida vs. Kentucky is a valuable game tape and holds clues on how Tennessee's game vs. them could go.

Indeed it is. I suspect the team and coaches will be analyzing it without your input. I'm not trying to be offensive, but you not watching the Vols play won't change the outcome of the UT - UF game, win or lose.

I don't follow your logic.

I agree with most on here who say that they will watch because as Tennessee fan's we only get a few Saturdays all year to see our team play. Although I don't agree with the OP, he does hit on something that has bothered me for a long time. I hate these cupcake games! I'll watch like everyone else because my team is playing, but it is ridiculous that college football is set up this way. It would be so much better if the power 5 conferences formed their own league and only played each other. At least all the out of conference games would be against other schools whose budgets were in the ballpark of each other. There would be so many more great games each week and more money to go around because of larger TV contracts and you wouldn't have to give money to the non power 5 schools.

This is a thread worthy topic which I'd love to give input on but I refuse to do it here in this terrible thread. If discussing that was the op's original intent with this thread then he went about it ALL wrong. I'd encourage you to start your own thread on the subject.

I don't get to watch the Vols live 353 days out of the year, 352 if I'm lucky, 351 if I'm really lucky and 350 if We re all really really lucky. I'm going to watch every second of every game I can.

I totally agree with all of this, and I would love to see this in a topic of it's own. Having said that, if the Vols are playing against a middle school team I'll be watching.
