We watched the first season. I liked it ok. Especially the first part, it actually touched on a little of what it is like being a dispatcher. It really got to the panic of callers, stress, and no closure that we have every day. Unfortunately after the first couple episodes it just devolved into a typical pd/fd drama that dropped back to the stereotypical everyone in emergency services is either a drunk, a recovering drunk, or a sexaddic. It was entertaining, but nothing special once they abandoned the dispatch room.
Episode 1 of this season got a little more back to that. The training/shadowing part brought back a few memories, and the phones exploding/all hell breaking loose after the quake reminds me of us after the tornadoes/storms a few years ago. Just on a much smaller scale of course. I'll continue to watch season 2 and see how it goes.
