Yeah I know Florida was vanilla is this game but I'm not impressed at all by their defense. That great front seven was pushed around at times and their secondary should provide a good launching pad for us. I can see Hunter and Rogers going crazy. They can't cover well in man or zone. UAB moved the ball but were making some dumb plays to negate their big plays.

On offense: Brantley still is struggling throwing the ball. Demps and Rainey(this guy in particular) are their playmakers. As long as we can get Justin Coleman up to speed we can really give them problems. A lot of their plays they made were from missed tackles nothing special. UAB was getting very good push up the middle until they got tired.

I feel a bit more confident now after watching them. I know they will come out with their full playbook but I feel good about our personel matchups. I don't think they can keep up in a shootout.

Did they get to the QB when they wanted to?

Also, just from watching the game on and off UAB had a lot of wide open dropped passes against the UF 1st team Defense. Coverage was definitely lacking and numbers should have been better if UAB receivers had caught the easy balls they dropped.

Missed tackles are not out of our vocabulary just yet.

Did UAB even get inside florida's 30yd line??

They threw around a 30 yard touchdown that got called back because of an illegal shift. Beat the freshman corner. Fumbled another on Florida's 33 yard line(it wasn't a fumble either). For some reason the always got a penalty or something when they crossed the 50 yard line . The WRs for UAB were beating their secondary a lot.

Interesting observations. Thanks. Maybe the mighty Gators aren't so mighty this year. At the very least, maybe it benefits us playing them early this year. Usually it seems like the opposite.

I think Ronald Powell is a good athlete but he's a finesse player and plays like it. He didn't impress me at all. Easley is getting off the ball well but they got a lot of offsides penalties. Now we still haven't gotten to see Shariff Floyd yet so we'll see what improvement he's made.

I heard Demps left the UAB game and didn't return. Florida isn't saying why, but the speculation is an injury to the shoulder or head. He may not play on Saturday which means we only need to contain Rainey in terms of playmakers.

Well; my thougths is that Brantley is easily confused on defense...our chance is turnovers...Im sure Flordia and Brantley know Bray will score on their mistakes......Pressure is our friend this week.

I love the confidence you have.... I watch the same game and see Florida as a young talented team that is growing up with each game... sorta reminds me of the youthful Vols

Saturday will be a DOGFIGHT, in one of the toughest places to play in the country, before a hostile crowd, something our young team has yet to prove they can do, I have more confidence than I have had in the past, but I don't believe the hype....Florida is loaded with speed and talent.... If we win at Gainesville... we can win the East for sure

Yep, I feel like whoever makes the early mistakes will lose confidence, and thus lose the game.

If Brantley throws a pick and we score off of it pretty quickly, it will be a huge blow to his confidence, I'm hoping. Though I don't know that much about Brantley. I am hoping that if Bray makes the early mistake, he has shown an ability to not let it bother him, but it could still have an effects.

If Bray throws a pick into double coverage, he'll then come right back and throw three TDs in a row to the exact same spot, doing mental throat slashes with each one.

Kid Moxie/Slash/AK47/TouchdownTyler doesn't get rattled.

if demps is out, rainey is not the only one we have to contain, if we think that it will be a Failure of EPIC proportions. trey burton must be contained as well. he is now their tim tebow.

Good stuff, TBB :good!:

I also watched the game, live, and I agree...this isn't a UF team to be scared of. If the Vols bring their A game it won't be close, the score will end up being very similar to the Cincy game.

Agree. Our offense is scarry good. Every team we play this year has to figure that they'll need atleast 30-something points atleast to have a chance against us.

Its a minor shoulder injury, per Muschamp. He was held out for the rest of the game, as a precautionary move. He does not have a concussion, as apparently ESPN has wrongly reported...
