They run the spread, have a returning senior QB who was All-Big East last year, a pretty good RB, and a bunch of returning starters on a defense that was bad but young last year. Right before Florida week too. I wouldn't be shocked at all if this was a high scoring game that came down to the wire.

They also have Kenbrell Thompkins, I know most of you remember him.

Sure do. Never started a big time college game EVER at this level. I will be concerned after he does something worth mentioning.

I just remember UAB. Got to be ready to play every game and not look ahead. I agree this can be a trap game if players aren't focused. Stranger things have happened.

Python references aside :), that QB from UCLA bled on us after we broke his jaw, and then we blew the game. And UCLA sucked. Bigtime. So, I guess some folks still feel a bit snakebit.

Chalk that loss up to coaching or lack thereof; squarely on the shoulders of Fulmer and Chavis' 3rd down retreat, break but don't bend philosophy.

I'm definitely worried about the thought of the team looking ahead to Florida much like looking ahead to LSU instead of focusing on UAB in 2010. I've said UT by 10 for several months now, but I can't shake the feeling of past upsets such as UCLA in '08 and '09.

Actually, that was in '09 when the UCLA QB got jacked in Neyland - Kiffin was the coach and ran the ball twice when it was 2nd and goal from the 4 yard line and couldn't get it in the endzone...

Yawn. 4-8 Big East teams are really less of a trap game than Montana.

Yeah right. Remember UAB last year? UCLA in 2008 and 2009? Air Force in 2006? Air Force went on to a 4-8 season that year, 3-4 in the Mountain West; Tennessee went 9-4 and was ranked 25th.

Cincy's scared me for a while. It'll be a high scoring game but the difference between our O and their D and our D and their O is substantial.

That's funny, I thought their record was 0-0 at this point. If you start digging into the past, I doubt anybody is too impresed by a team that has had losing records in 2 out of the past 3 seasons (us).

This is a new season for everybody. We might have more talent than last year, but Cincy might be more talented as well. Out team better bring it against Cincy and everybody else on the schedule. We cannot afford to take anybody for granted.

I went to was UCLA 2009, and I have tickets to the Cincy game this year, I'd really like to not experience that again.
