Jason Swain was raving about Ryan Walters on his show today. Says his defenses are aggressive and disciplined. Guy has developed DB’s to high levels, especially at Illinois; db is his specialty. I knew nothing about him, till I heard Swain. Y’all need to check out his resume, he drastically improved defenses everywhere he’s been and quickly too. Also he’s young, and already tried HC at Purdue, so he’s likely to stick around awhile and make his reputation grow as a coach. I don’t think this is a case of CJH just hiring a buddy but more of a familiarity with each other from previous stops at Missouri in Oklahoma. If he’s the guy, hoping it all works out in improving our defense greatly.

Yep. Walters would be a great hire. Much better than Mason or Muschamp. Folks advocating for those two don’t know what they’re talking about.

So this guy has a track record of improving defenses.Has coached with an up tempo offense and coached from the sideline.Had never heard of him until a few hours ago.If he is hired I’m ok with it.We don’t have to have a number one defense but average or above would be nice.Our next move should be loading up on defensive playmakers in the portal.

And is bombing at MTSU.

And bombed in his 1 season at Oklahoma
State as DC…which is why he was only there a year.

Pretty sure being a failure as a DC is the most relevant issue here…since that’s the position we’re considering these guys for.

😂 I’m one of the idiots that wanted to keep Banks last year. There’s a time to move on. This was the time. Heupel knew it as well. Last thing a lot of us want is a head coaching search. I don’t care about the stats rankings etc; we just looked like a fundamentally terrible football team. Was time to move on
