Washington DC Walters is a name to watch

I'm a bit concerned with this. Admittedly I do not know Walters but didn't his defenses give up quite a bit of TD's? I know he had his defense like 3rd in the nation or something like that but Tim Banks won an award last year and look how that turned out?

I rather get someone with SEC experience. Derek Mason, Will Muschamp, etc
He coached at Missouri, I think that qualifies as SEC experience.

but he has SEC experience and is a great young defensive mind. Mason and muschamp (more muschamp) are past their prime

Jason Swain was raving about Ryan Walters on his show today. Says his defenses are aggressive and disciplined. Guy has developed DB’s to high levels, especially at Illinois; db is his specialty. I knew nothing about him, till I heard Swain. Y’all need to check out his resume, he drastically improved defenses everywhere he’s been and quickly too. Also he’s young, and already tried HC at Purdue, so he’s likely to stick around awhile and make his reputation grow as a coach. I don’t think this is a case of CJH just hiring a buddy but more of a familiarity with each other from previous stops at Missouri in Oklahoma. If he’s the guy, hoping it all works out in improving our defense greatly.

So he has no SEC experience and so he is not worth our time and is no good and the guys that do have the experience got fired because they suck and or were a holes but that is what we prefer. Sometimes there are other options that are successful outside the SEC.

They’re leaders. This guy got fired from Purdue going 1-11. No thanks
Being a HC is totally different than a Coordinator. He is a helluva DC but a sheety HC. Just like Muschamp, Madon, Dave Wannstedt (sp) and many others. One doesnt equate to the other.
