Just picked up my wife at Dulles from a flight from LAX. She had a conversation on the rental car shuttle in LA with a guy who claimed to be a UT defensive back coach. Late 40s, salt/pepper hair wearing UT stuff. I showed her the pictures of all the coaches on UTSPORTS.COM and none of them were him. Anyway, he told her he expects to win 2 of 3 against Ole Miss, Vandy, UK; expects 6 wins; hopes the fans understand this is a rebuilding year; went to Ohio State (and showed her a championship ring of some kind on his finger) and previously coached at UT then went to somewhere in Florida before coming back to UT. Legit coach or an imposter putting the move on her???

FYI, for a Kentucky fan she held her own talking about the Big Orange.

Did he claim to be a current coach? That would make a difference.

I'd say maybe a polite BS-er? Could have been hitting on her. Whatever.

Larry Slade had that job for 10 years before Kiffin. I don't know who would fit the bill of what she has described.

No coach in his right mind would tell you that he expects to win a set number of games.

Get her a phone with a camera in it so she could get visual evidence. :shades: Also, I've never heard of a coach of a given team predicting wins and losses from the upcoming season.

Easiest way to find out.

Get a Q-tip and an Over-the-counter DNA test.

Give it a swab and wait for the results.
