If he did what you said, he wouldn't be that bad. But he gets the call wrong all the time, and it's really difficult to know where the ball is during his calls. All the time you hear him say, "Running back up the middle, that's a gain of a couple." Ok, Bob. How much is "a couple?" Is that 2? 3? 4 yards? We usually don't find out until the next play. And if he does actually say, "That's a gain of 2," in his next sentence it magically turns into a gain of 4 or 5. He'll say something like, "1st and 10, run up the middle, that's a gain of 2. Ok, 2nd and 6." Happens all the time, and it's so frustrating.
