latest update had a bit of a helldivers response.

they made some changes that really don't make sense, force players into meta classes, and take some fun out of it.

the most problematic update has been at higher difficulties they have drastically reduced how fast your armor comes back if you are far away from teammates. in a highly chaotic horde shooter/slasher that would be difficult to do with a single class. but with classes from sniper, to jet-pack assault its impossible. also several of the missions require you to separate from your team to achieve several things at the same time. and then of course there are enemies who do a lot of AOE damage, so grouping up isn't possible.

definitely an issue, but not game breaking.

the main issue is they are seemingly pandering to the most elite of players. it would have been better to keep the existing four difficulties the same, and just effed with the new difficulty. 99.9% of players aren't soloing the highest tier difficulty.

Big update coming out either today or tomorrow I believe. Its adding another PvE Operation.

also some leaks coming out about more cosmetic options, and some additional type of currency and unlocks.

supposedly they also majorly rebalanced melee weapons, apparently making them stronger across the board. Some of the ranged weapons are also getting tweaked.

new operation sucks. it uses several mechanics that just punish the players. there is no "right" way to do the operation without being punished.

it got or is getting another new update shortly.

didn't sound all that appealing. they are adding another currency with more rewards in the form of various skins. adding a new enemy in the PvE, and a new PvP map. also more paid cosmetics.

horde mode is supposed to be dropping tomorrow. I will give that a try. really haven't played much over the last couple months.
