Must be able to finish at the rim or make free throws when fouled.

Also need a back-up point guard who can make the occasional open three.

We currently have none of the above.

Wanted:

Posters who understand that there are only so many Derrick Rose's and Eric Gordon's to go around.

We currently have none of the above starting threads about PG play.

We don't need a Rose or Gordon. Just a steady point who dishes out assists.

You can't even stay consistent on your point in your own thread.

Please, for the love of God, stop letting newbs make threads.

This is just way overblowing the Vandy loss. You were exhausted, playing a good team on the road in a strange environment (I swear that layout jumbles up people's heads) and the officiating caused the game to have zero flow or rythm, which is your bread and butter.

Its not a bad loss at all and you are still way in the hunt for a 1 seed. It just doesn't matter.

The reason it matters is if we lose on Sat. (provided UK wins tonight) we lose sole possession of first place.

I can guarantee you that we will NOT lose Saturday.

It's an impossibility.

I don't know why, but I am continually surprised by the "Bench this guy" and "Wanted: somebody who is actually good" threads during the best season by far in UT basketball history. Parts of our fan base might be as ungrounded as Kentucky's after all.

Wanted: Scotty Hopson

Who is not a point guard.

Thank you for stating the obvious. I am tired of all these whinners. We are still in the hunt for the NCAA Championship and in the hunt for the SEC. It beats sitting on your A@@ and wondering if you will get a bid to the NIT.

There are five teams that can win it all this year and without it being a team out of the blue. We are one of them and nobody will cruise to the NCAA final four. All teams this year are beatable.

Who is not a point guard.

Mostly kids or old people with Alzheimer's. We have trained our kids to win win and win. If it appears broke then replace it versus fixing it.

As everyone should recall, Florida, at the time #1, lost @ Vandy last year by 13 in February. They were still able to grab the overall #1 seed and we know what happened from then on.

This loss isn't a big deal...it may even be good for us.

I am not at all concerned about this loss. I do think that our lack of a true point guard will hurt us in the NCAAs.

In crunch time and we are down by two, will Ramar drive and throw up a nasty brick or get fouled and brick the free throws? This scares me bad.

Also, when my wife walks by the TV and watches for like five minutes and asks why Howell is playing, then there is a problem there too.

Ramar is one of the best PG finishers in the country, bar none. He has struggled some of late because I think he's looking for the foul, but he can finish in the paint.

GREAT POINT ABOUT THE REFS NOT LETTING THE VOLS GET INTO A FLOW.

True Howell is not a big time scorer, but what's the one thing he does? He protects the ball, he isn't a walking turnover. I see nothing wrong with Ramar, he's quick and can get to the goal. He's only a soph. Some of you people are way to hard on these guys. they aren't 25-3 for no reason, and I really doubt most of ya'll could even hold their jock straps

Neither was ramar according to rivals, but he plays one now. I dunno if hopson can play pg because I have never watched him, but I have heard some people say he could play pg. I have no idea if he can or not though :eek:k:. Just thought he might be able to.

Yes, there is a problem. If you don't know enough to tell her "that's all we've got", then neither one of you should be watching UT basketbal.
