I'm not here to hammer the guy....Mistakes happen.

The unbelievable thing is the uneccesary bad press this program and administration continues to heap on itself.

First off, MiramarVol was just reporting the news, and, depending on Butch's view of things, it could matter.

Secondly, my sister-in-law lost her brother, then her sister and niece, to drunk drivers; so, for us at least, it's a pretty big deal.

Non issue for me.

Wells pleaded guilty to reckless driving in Knox County General Sessions Court on Aug. 25, a week before the season opener against Appalachian State. The DUI charge was dismissed.

Like I said elsewhere...I'm not interested in piling on Wells. The adminstration and program can't seem to get out of their own way however.

"We were aware of the incident immediately," UT spokesman Ryan Robinson said in a statement emailed to the News Sentinel on Friday. "He was suspended for two weeks without pay and ordered to attend alcohol counseling. He fulfilled all the obligations set forth. We monitored his behavior throughout the past year and considered all that information before hiring him as offensive line coach."

Or maybe the media is just looking for sh!t to stir the pot with when it comes to UT? This was over a year ago, was reduced to reckless driving according to poster in recruiting forum, but knoxnews decides to publish this info now? Some people just thrive in sh!tt!ng all over UT and the football program specifically because they have a hardon for CBJ and his butchisms.
