Link, if interested in reading more ----->Did Tennessee-Appalachian State Change Your Outlook of the Battle at Bristol? | The Key Play
-------------------------------------------------
I was actually hoping Tenn would whoop up on App State and sleepwalk into Bristol. I think our chances of beating them were actually better before this scare at home vs App State. Now I think Tenn is going to go through an absolute hell week in practice and come to Bristol fired up and pissed off and determined to make a statement. I feel less confident now than I did.
---------------------------------------------------
They were still embarrassed. I'd expect them to play angry. But Butch is a bad coach so I don't know if he can harness that anger
-----------------------------------------------------
We may be outnumbered 2:1, but we know how loud Hokie Nation is. We will be the loudest fans at the biggest game.
------------------------------------------------------
Took a look at the Vol Nation board.....they have some seriously unhappy campers over there. Best comment I saw was "Bud Foster scares the living h#&$ out of me".
---------------------------------------------
The only thing that I feel is different about the game is that I'm hoping their fans have had their ego deflated a little bit. Lots of first half surrender cobras on TV, so I hope they are brought back down to Earth. Then I remember that with UT fans, that's not a possibility and most of them will just come up with an excuse rather than look at the fact that they won because the opposing kicker missed a PAT. I'm hoping for the former, concerned it may be the latter.

Byrd, Warrior, Tuttle, Johnson, J. Jones will all make an appearance this game. Dobbs will be more involved in the run game. Defense will be on fire this week. Im not worried at all.

Vols will eat this offense alive.

Virginia Tech sucks, Enter Sandman is exceptionally overrated, their stadium blows, and their fans are goobers.

So did Tuttle play Thursday? Never heard his name, you'd think the announcers would've acknowledged it if he was.

The first comment I agree with. The comment that the Hokie fans will be louder - yeah, I don't think so.

"But Butch is a bad coach so I don't know if he can harness that anger"

This is what bothers me, about the perceptions of Thursday's performance.

IF it was a vanilla offense or not -- I just hoped we'd have come out and blown it up on the field, offensively.

3 of the 4 you listed have nothing to do with the game itself and last time I checked, we didn't look so hot either. This will be a close game

They are a mid level team, and program with a mid level stadium and Mickey Mouse intro(sandman ). We will do what Tennessee does to teams like this and beat them by 21-24 points. If that doesn't happen and if we somehow were to lose, it's pretty simple fire Butch and bring in Tommy Herman.

Well, they are going to be very upset when they get the crap beat out of them by a coach that can not harness the anger of his players!

Va Tech looked bad for a half against a 6 win FCS team. I think the OL and offense of last year show up next week.

I live in Virginia between Va Tech and UVA. I always hated UVa and will pull for VT when they play each other, whether football or basketball.

Years ago I used to also like to see VT do well since they were a local team and UT was obviously not a rival since we rarely played each other in football or basketball. But in the mid-late '90's I went to several VT games and quickly found out that their fans hated UT. I never really figured it out other than the close proximity and them feeling like a little redheaded stepchild compared to the nearby SEC power.

So over the last 15-20 years, I still root for them against UVA, but I really now enjoy watching them choke and come up short on the national stage most of that time. Finally got to the point they forced Beamer out. Such a shame. LOL. I hope we stomp them a new one.

Because they are all related. They have the same DNA.
I lived in SWV for awhile and most have a chip on their shoulder concerning TN VOLS. They actually think they are in the same class as TN.
If you are in the stands at the BOB on the VT side, just holler "hay Cuz". Everyone will answer.
