I was pumping gas next to my house here In Chattanooga last night and Von Bell was at the pump next to me wearing his OSU gear. So I had to say hello. This guy is a freakin cool guy! Wish we had come to Tennessee! But I wanted to share. Dang, too bad! I hope he has a great career!

You should've asked him to pay for your gas with some of the money he got to go to tO$U.

Vuck,Fonn Bell! He should have come to Tennessee and I hope Michigan and Michigan State beat his OSU team the rest of the way.

How is that an excuse? Recruiting is about building relationships with coaches and getting comfortable with a university. Dooley neglected him and that allowed to him to build a relationship with Meyer, who is a soulless robot, but nonetheless a championship coach. This is on Dooley, Butch couldn't undo the damage Dooley had created.

If he was truly a lifelong Vols fan like he claims he would've been UT bound the minute the offer was extended. This joker played our fan base so he could get his 15 min.

Yeah he shouldn't have come for an official at all if he was going to say he didn't have time to build a relationship with Butch. Thompson Boling Arena was electric when he was there. We chanted his name and he stood and acknowldeged He was just a coward imo. He just didn't know how successful Butch would be and didn't want to be the first to put faith in Butch. Had he been one year later I think he comes not because an extended relationship with Butch but because he would see the potential class he would be associated with. Yeah The other thing that shows he was just using that as an excuse. No one is REQUIRED to sign LOI on signing day. many wait longer to make the best decision. We remember getting Bryce Brown way after signing day. He could have waited. Just made a cowardly excuse other than saying I want to play in a weak conference that I can get easy championships instead of helping build one at UT in a competitive conference.
